Many people, especially those who aren't used to it, are absolutely disgusted by the 95 degree and 95% humidity from mid July to mid August. Me included, I love(d) Chicago winters when I lived there and whenever I visit. I can't stand the slightest humidity and hate dry heat above 90 degrees. But I think I'm one of the few. I like winters too. I think I'm liking this winter more because I don't have to deal with driving in the snow since moving to Chicago. I don't use my car nearly as much as I used to in Ann Arbor. That was the big downfall of winter for me. Now that I can take the EL everywhere I need to go, winter is that much more enjoyable. There's something really peaceful about snow.
