  1. I'd love to have Rodriguez, but I feel like we're in for another embarrassment when he turns us down. I wouldn't be surprised to see Michigan up the ante quite a bit this time to avoid that. He's a WV grad so it's going to take a lot of money for him to leave. I'm surprised you didn't mention something about going after another Big East coach. :D
  2. Sporting News I'd love to have Rodriguez, but I feel like we're in for another embarrassment when he turns us down.
  3. Oh, no. I don't see Prior being interested in playing in Houston unless they're willing to outbid other teams for his services. The NLC teams I'm worried about is the Cardinals or Brewers.
  4. The poster named Peace21 seems to be the insider with the best info over at orioleshangout. He's broken a few things before, including the Tejada deal a couple days ago. Here's what he wrote this morning:
  5. no, it proves he started doing them in 2003. when he stopped is unknown. I highly doubt he is still using HGH. Why do you doubt it? It's not like he could get caught if he is using. There's no test for HGH yet.
  6. Robots aren't allowed to vote. Go back to stealing old people's pills for fuel wih your cold, cold metal claws. I keep trying to think of a witty response, but I got nothing. Must be all that xanax I'm stealing from the old folks home up the street. http://youtube.com/watch?v=X0GGfJVOlI0&feature=related  Now I get it.

  8. What about the "I'm not sad or happy" option?
  9. The list that came out this morning was false. Sosa, Wood, and Prior were on that list. BUT IT WAS FALSE. The real list came out an hour ago and Sosa, Wood, and Prior were not named in it.
  10. Alright, I'm bored. You guys are never going to persuade me into thinking Sammy wasn't a user, and I'm not going to be able to persuade you into thinking he was. We'll all just have to agree to disagree.
  11. http://www.wisecamel.com/images/Sosa%20B%20and%20A%203.jpg Come on.
  12. Here's just one article of many talking about Sammy's weight gain in 1999: Suntimes
  13. Players who come into camp 20 pounds heavier than they were at the end of the previous season always say that they spent all winter in the gym and dedicated themselves to getting in better shape. Not saying that Sammy was lying about it and did take steroids but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he did. But the average player isnt growing out of being a mal-nourished teen. Well, i guess some of them are - but regardless. I wouldn't be overly shocked if it came out that sosa did roids either, if for no other reason than the era he played in. That being said - No one has been able to build up anything resembling a solid case against him and in all reality I just don't think he did roids. Plus, it's not just sammy that said he spent time in the gym. It's well known that he spent hours on end in the gym every day. Okay, how about when Sammy came into camp 20 pounds lighter after the steroid issue came out?
  14. I find it funny that Kruk is on ESPN talking about cheaters and such. You know that fat bastard tried everything he could get his hands on.
  15. It's kind of weird that nobody seems able to bust him. Seriously...we're talking about Sammy-freakin'-Sosa, and he he keeps making out like the Teflon Slugger. Indeed. He must have a iron clad supplier. All this report says to me is that Sosa was way smarter than I gave him credit for.
  16. OMC listed all of the players a couple pages back in this thread.
  17. It's kind of funny watching you guys try to convince yourselves that Sammy wasn't a roid user.
  18. Does anyone else have some random Arab dude cutting in on the television feed on ESPN News?
  19. Wow. Could this guy speaking be any more nervous? He sounds like he's ready to puke on the podium.
  20. Really? I'm not surprised by Gagne at all. He was a beast a few years ago and then broke down.
  21. Brian Roberts was also named by ESPN. Hopefully that hurts his trade value. :D
  22. As Bruce stated in his article this morning, there didn't seem to be much interest from other teams in terms of trading for Prior.
  23. hey questionmarkgrace....see above I don't think we should trade Hill for Bedard, but I also don't think it's fair to compare these numbers. Bedard pitched in the much tougher AL East. Um, thats what the stat above debunks (at least for 2007). Tougher by 014 OPS points. Thats not the OPS allowed by the pitchers I'm quoting. Thats the total OPS of the batters they face (ie the OPS those batters have for the year). It shows that Hill basically faced the same quality of hitters that Bedard faced. Sorry. I thought you were showing OPS against.
  24. For some reason I think Prior and Wood are going to be on the list. Obviously, Sammy is going to be on there too.
