  1. Caps bring it back to DC! \:D/
  2. I looked at the most commonly missed and commonly remembered teams, and no surprise that basketball and hockey filled the bottom 40, with the exception of the brewers, padres, and royals. In the top 30, the only basketball or hockey team to make it (not counting florida panthers and new york rangers, who were only up there because their names are shared) was the Bulls. I scored 95/122. Got all of baseball, missed the Bengals and Bills, and don't follow the NBA or NHL.
  3. This game was full of reasons for optimism. Soriano producing early and often has been great to see so far this season. It's also good to see Aram back in middle of the lineup and producing again - hopefully that last tweak is completely behind him now. I'm really liking Lilly so far too. If the core of this team stays healthy and produces like they're supposed to, then Hendry's failure of an off-season may not be able to hurt the Cubs very much.
  4. I'll be watching this game on the out-of-town scoreboard at the Nats' park. Heading out now to go see the Nats-Stros. I'm hoping it gets rained out so I can talk my Stros fan friend into going out and finding scalped tickets to the Caps-Penguins. Let's hope the Cubs' offense sucks less.
  5. WTF Gordon, how do you not throw the ball to anyone else on that play?
  6. Aaron Miles still sucks, Gathright's still worthless. Ummm... aaaand.... Lilly the bum gave up a homerun. Yea, got nothing. What a game.
  7. Cubs are winning by less than six, so is this a save situation for Heilman?
  8. but... but... speed doesn't slump? You forgot the "dude" at the end. Reminds me of fishing.
  9. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALIOLIOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
  10. 2-2 thru 2. That will definitely go down as one of the top plays in this playoff, if not season.
  11. I'm never gonna play that kid in right again.
  12.  \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/
  13. IBB to get to Lee. Nice to have intimidation in middle of the order.
  14. I think we found the answer to the DLee hole in middle of the lineup. WTF
  15. I just got home from work. I pulled a few expectations from what I thought would happen when I click the home button on my browser and cubs.com pops up. The what-ifs that went through my head included Harden being awesome and winning, Harden being awesome and losing, the bullpen sucking, Lee/Soto/Bradley waking up on offense, etc. I can safely say that Lou adding himself to the 25-man roster as a player manager and playing third base because he's sick of Aaron Miles seemed more likely than a Ryan Theriot freaking grand slam. Holy freaking crap.
  16. Except for that one earlier, where he hit it over the yellow line. Wasn't the runner on 1B? Runners. Plural. They were both on first. It was Z and Miles on base, so maybe Z carried him?
