  1. Bradley's out another three months. wonderful.
  2. lol @ Riot swinging for the fences.
  3. With WGN, isn't every night retro night?
  4. no, sorry - I'm watching on WGN, and Len's dropping quite a bit of random stats. I think he's challenging you, Fred.
  5. Basehit Miles. It takes focus to type that correctly.
  6. Actually, their bullpen handles us pretty well......... vs. Houst AB R H 2b 3b HR RBI BB SO BA OBP SLG OPS BABIP P/PA IsoD RBI% vs. starters 153 30 51 11 2 5 25 16 26 0.333 0.405 0.529 0.934 0.377 3.83 0.071 0.211 vs. relievers 144 18 37 9 0 7 21 17 32 0.257 0.333 0.465 0.799 0.286 3.90 0.076 0.171 How do the Cubs fare vs just Wandy compared to their bullpen?
  7. He was safe anyway. Blame him for not running sooner but once again a blown call goes against us. Seems like that is happening a hell of a lot lately. From the limited other baseball I've watched this season, it looks like a league-wide trend to blow that call in favor of the defense. ETA - "that call" being close plays at first. Also, Geovany Soto.
  8. It kills me that Lee can actually move enough in one week to make that play.
  9. No effing way. When are umps going to quit giving ridiculous benefit to the defense on that play?
  10. Do you think Lou lets Z go 16 innings if he keeps that up?
  11. Bourn breaks up the no-no. Steal coming in 3... 2....
  12. It looks like the upper-shin-over-the-chalk is getting called too. This should be fun.
  13. I know it's only BA, but it's pretty depressing looking at those numbers top to bottom.
  14. Is tonight's game really on WGN? Isn't that unusual for a Wednesday?
  15. I just got back and was looking to see who the runs were attributed to and noticed your numbers in that column are off. I'm assuming the sixth run should be credited to Heilman.
  16. Someone find this man's passport and burn it. I came back on the fourth of October after having absolutely no access to anything baseball or internet. When I first checked the playoff updates, I stared at the scores like I was in some alternate universe, not understanding why there were no Cubs on the scoreboard. Also, I've since had to replace that passport. I'll be back on June 2nd. Hopefully they can scrape across a run or two in that time. I'd hope for a win, but with the season being over and all, what's the point.
  17. The day I flew out to the UK was the day this losing streak started. Last time I was in Europe, it was the last week of the 2004 season. My apologies to all of you.
  18. I'm glad I got caught up watching a movie and missed this one. Holy crap. EDIT - 68 is still pretty ridiculous.
  19. You should get that checked out. Searchiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing...SEEK AND DESTROY!  Your dancing avatar went perfectly with your post.
  20. You have to respect the ballplayer who's just trying to finish the season. aaaaaand I'm spent. What a great freaking movie.
