  1. 1908, Bartman to come soon though To their credit, the fifth inning is pretty late in the game for them.
  2. If Aramis hustled, he wouldn't have had to dive. What a hack.
  3. Sigh. I tuned in late. Did they already talk about Bartman, or is 1908 first this time?
  4. FTH? There are also no decent sports bars. It's a pretty touristy/hippy area with plenty of outdoorsy stuff to do. There's almost no sports following, unless the Giants are deep in the playoffs.
  5. Blake DeWitt?! Seriously? Definitely didn't see that one coming.
  6. I love that Pena is willing to bunt into the shift.
  7. Good: No Bay Area games are taking precedence over this game, so it's actually on out here. Bad: Directv doesn't carry the HD feeds for any of the local stations. This looks pretty rough. All network NFL here is SD as well, to include playoffs and Superbowl. Good: Coleman is starting, and the Cubs are still in it in the 4th.
  8. BJ Upton suspended for two games for his tantrum after being called out on strikes. Good. MLB needs to keep these savages in line, amirite?! Also, I didn't realize the back story with Luke Scott. I saw the KT tweets demanding documentation to prove he was actually in the lineup and thought that he just randomly picked Scott out to make points about the birther issue.
  9. I know I'm way late to contribute to a threadjack, and that there's a game going on, but somebody need to teach him how to properly use a towel already.
  10. That explains the ridiculous BABIP he has allowed. It's not just a fluke after all.
  11. Pretty sure I saw that it went until 2:45am. Less than 11 hours before the next gametime. Ouch.
  12. Z gets into the 8th and they come out swinging. Only the Dodgers.
  13. Pena just wanted to justify my re-post of the Lilly gif. (Assuming it showed up)
  14. Oh yea... Geovany Soto. Photobucket is blocked at work, hope this works... http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll293/lonestarJon/GIFs/FAIL%20GIFs%20I/th_ige1yg.gif EDIT - Tks Bob. I see that one.
  15. Someone post the Lilly glove spike pls
  16. I like this offense much better when Soto is one of the guys raking. EDIT - and when they're scoring more runs than the other team.
  17. I was at a friend's place watching the draft. When I changed the channel and saw 7-0 bot1 with Berg on the mound, I went through a pretty similar thought process. #-o
  18. 27 runs in 3 games to Aaron Miles and the Dodgers. Aside from Matt Kemp, is there anything about this offense that legitimately explains the outburst, aside from facing Cubs' pitching?
  19. Lineup per Miles tweet: Kosuke Barney Castro Ramirez Pena Byrd Sori Soto Z That's the lineup that scores 26 runs today.
  20. 2 out of 3 is just as good as a sweep, so here's to breaking out the brooms. Or is that not how it works?
  21. Also, watching Ramirez struggle to keep his legs underneath him as he scored from first was among the more amusing things I've seen on a baseball field.
  22. I had to pause this game a few different times and fell well behind real time by the eighth inning. Getting through the rest of the game by that point felt like a formality. Once the bases were juiced for Castro with nobody out, I paused the tv and waited for the gf to get in so we could both watch--not because she was so intent on seeing the game, but because I knew that something good was going to happen and she'd want to see it too. I didn't necessarily think the Cubs would win at that point, I just knew it was about to get interesting. It felt really weird to have such confident expectation of something good to happen and to see it actually come through.
  23. I've always been a Lilly fan. I hope he gets a hangnail in the first, then removed for precautionary reasons, then their bullpen gives up 12 runs. Dempster just has to make them hold up.
