  1. Rich Hill needs to stop sucking immediately.
  2. Good rip by Kojock. Drive him in, Kendall!! :bluekoolaid:
  3. It seems like high pitch counts are the norm for this team.
  4. No-hitter still in order. Hill is on pace to strike out 27 batters on about 250 pitches.
  5. He didn't seem to have trouble locating that last hitter.
  6. sac flys are my monthly reminder to bathe
  7. Two hard hit balls off Arroyo, and Griffey is lowering his trade value 8-)
  8. The guy on the closed-circuit feed for WGN radio was saying it started raining on the grounds crew while they were trying to prep the field. No plans to change start time as of yet, but this one could be soggy throughout.
  9. I wonder how many times I'm going to click that thinking it will be a relevant video before I finally learn.
  10. Didn't Texas sign him to a minor league contract? Wouldn't that mean they could just send him down rather than release him, or would there be a clause stating that if he made the team, he could no longer be sent down?
  11. Can we get a story? When I'm not in the office, yes. Hahaha you know how that goes... I'll be anxiously awaiting this one.
  12. He was just very under the weather. He showed up to the game last night looking very sick, and Ron and Corey had to argue with him to get him to just go home and rest. He suspects it could have been something he ate, and he is day to day, so a stint on the DL is not expected.
  13. So the original link has Paul "cream of the sports journalism crop" Sullivan saying the Cubs plan to recall Murton and Cherry, but he couldn't even go so far as to speculate on who goes down. Do we have any other indications as to whether or not this is actually going to happen or when?
  14. From what they were saying on the radio broadcast last night, DeRosa should be ready to go tonight. Lou kept him out as a precaution, but said he was doing fine on his hamstring and would likely be ready for the Cinci series.
  15. I'd like this trade if it was to the Brewers. Eyre could be Balfour's setup man. Sounds like a good deal to me.
  16. I voted SD, but they were much more formidable a few weeks ago. I agree that the Brewers would be my first choice.
  17. Fielder didn't start for Milwaukee today either... :-k Wow, looks like a lot of teams are involved in this trade!  Hmmm Would the Brewers trade Fielder to the Cubs? //:D/ Jake Fox and Billy Petrick should be enough to entice them - takes care of Fielder's defensive position, and the Petrick kicker is an ADDED BONUS for Milwaukee, who will then be able to DFA BallFour.
  18. Fielder didn't start for Milwaukee today either... :-k DeRosa didn't start tonight, either. Would Hendry actually trade his own player for his own player??? How would that affect the 25/40 man roster?? With Ramirez getting pulled in the 4th or 5th tonight, maybe that means a package deal for Pie and Kroger - hopefully Iowa values those guys and would never go for it.
  19. Fielder didn't start for Milwaukee today either... :-k
  20. Pie/Kroger got pulled in middle of a night game. Jones did not.
  21. Doesn't seem like that makes sense. Yea, I think a disappointing trade is a much safer bet.
  22. Except Jones played the whole game tonight, so if there was a deal, he wasn't part of it.
