naw. instead, many will continue their sudden change of heart about the value of defense out of a catcher. easier to continue the bitch parade that way. Kendall doesn't have to throw out another baserunner ever again if he's going to hit like this. The most I hope for defensively out of him is that he performs somewhere close to average in terms of stopping wild pitches and not allowing passed balls.

I was wondering why anyone actually voted for the Soto / Blanco combo guess this explains it lol. I was gonna say, I'm surprised anyone voted for anything else, so at least this explains one of the four outliers.

Wasn't the end of last year when Barrett had his foul-tip-induced intrascrotal hemorrage? Personally, I'd understand if he needed a couple years to fully recover from that one. -

Same here. Unless there were a team that was dumb enough that Jack Wilson, Cesar Izturis, and Matt Morris comprised half their payroll. But that could never happen, so I don't feel sorry for anyone. You forgot Kendall. Oh right. Well he's actually producing now, so maybe he won't turn out to be so bad for them...

Thats kind of hard to do with the current state of affairs. True. Playing Murton more would at least help, though. Hopefully, he can perform now that he's going to have more opportunities and have RF locked up when Sori comes back. HR last 7 games Murton: 2 All other Cubs: 1 Given the severe lack of power, hopefully this is enough to get him starts 5 of every 7 games, at least while Sori is out.

Or Ramirez's grand slam in the 1st inning (which was a monster shot) down the left field line in game 4 of the 2003 NLCS. These two are very close for me, and definitely above any of the original options.

New thread please. Did the back end of the game thread starters rotation just bail on the season? Jim Sorgi goes MIA last night, now Tyson gone tonight. We're in the dog days of the season, but the back end of the rotation still needs to do its job.
