  1. I had NO idea his injury history was so extensive....dude is a china doll by all accounts. Came cheap because of it I suppose, but I guess he'll suffice for a BOR kinda guy. But when Tallion and Assad come back I think this cat should take up residence in the bullpen as a long man.
  2. I think it absolutely is a tell. But I'm not worried...kid looks like a stud from all appearances. Make no mistake, Tom won't fork over 400-500 mil for Tucker and I'm not so sure he should frankly. Screws up the salary structure of the whole team.
  3. 'Winners' according to MLB.com. Pretty predictable: Mariners/Astros/Phillies/Mets/Padres https://www.mlb.com/news/biggest-winners-of-2025-trade-deadline
  4. I know a lot of people are kinda pissed at Jed but the fact we didn't give up any of our stud prospects pleases me. Sure I would've given up a couple for Gore but again....who the hell is even RUNNING things in DC? Love Moises/Caissie/Alcantara/Wiggins and they are all still intact.
  5. Whether we like it or not, I think it'll be Caissie's job to lose. That is assuming Tucker signs elsewhere like LA or NY for 500 millionish
  6. Absolutely...but we shall see. All part of the game. I know people are pissed at Jed and I'm not HAPPY with him but at then end of the day it was too much of a sellers market. Juice wasn't worth the squeeze for controllable, younger TOR guys like Gore. Hell, the Nat's don't even have a bonafide front office right now. Who KNOWS how much they wanted, but my guess is...a helluva lot.
  7. Tigers poached him but I wanted him to eat some innings, especially with Horton's situation
  8. Mostly agree but I think the fact some of their crazy overpriced free agents have either A)been hurt or B)underperformed have given them pause for once. I guess every team has a budget....even LA apparently
  9. meh.....Padres, Phillies and Mets sure look like they've improved markedly
  10. Fine with me....I love the kid. Didn't wanna trade him UNLESS it was for Gore potentially. (along with another piece or two as well obviously)
  11. Jebus, that would be kinda seismic IMO....I love Horton but I do understand what Jason is saying too. Fact is you have to give to get....Glad I don't have to make that decision.
  12. The Stros and the Padres are DEALIN'.....man alive
  13. Your username certainly checks out...I go into a deep depression whenever anyone reminds me how we just let Schwarbs go for nothing....brutal
  14. Best post of this thread. WTH is Preller DOING? SMDH....
  15. Helsley has been human this season. Not scared. Phils getting Duran? Little scared.....
  16. Ya hear that Jed? Hello......JED?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. Mets have been known to give up too much (PCA) with regard to prospects before
  18. The guy is improving by leaps and bounds from game to game. His approach and execution are excellent and the results are showing that. The fact CC hits him cleanup at this point of his development is so damn impressive.
  19. Funny you post that....as I'm re-watching the game on MLB (missed it earlier) it strikes me that they could absolutely deal him. They have a deep rotation and he's been very solid for a long time but you can't tell me someone like the Yankees or Dodgers wouldn't overpay for him and it would be very Brewer-like to scoop up a couple stud prospects for a guy who COULD be on the down slope.
  20. Great game today....Imanaga didn't set the world on fire but it was a solid enough effort IMO. Keller with 2 strong innings and plenty of offense. As I said last night, pressure was ON to win this game. Might be biggest win of the year thus far: leave town only down 1 at this point. I'll take it.
  21. Very true and I think most sane posters on this board would agree with you. However, IF Hoyer can get one solid rotation piece and one solid bullpen piece that's a good start IMO. Gotta consider that Tallion, Assad and Hodge are all coming back in the next 2-3 weeks to add to whomever Hoyer acquires. Looking for a silver lining I guess. First thing's first: better win tomorrow.
  22. BUT....BUT.....'they will lose early in the playoffs again, so it's all GOOD!!"
