  1. That might have made some sense if Clemens didn't start last year with Piazza catching. Why does that second comment make any difference?
  2. Oh yes it does because THIS ONE COUNTS!!!!!!!
  3. Is this a biggest bust or worst acquisition poll? Just because a stupid GM gave a bad player a huge contract doesn't make them a bust. It means that the GM should be fired. Milton has never been all that good and Wright was never good before last year (Mazzone/Cox factor anyone) and failed a physical before signing.
  4. I think I would like for us to hold on to Aardsma. I think that he will be a pretty good setup man/closer for us in the future.

  6. All boxes are posted. A clean sweep, hopefully.
  7. There have been rumors on this board that you fell in the draft because the teams could not reach you on draft day by phone. Is this true? What was that draft day like for you?
  8. I think it can also said that you weren't the only one that watched the home run derby and had their eyes opened to Abreu's skills. I wonder how many different message boards have a trade for Bobby thread going on right now...
  9. "We play the blaming game, Yes I mind, its not your turn. We play the blaming game, Yes I mind, its not your turn."
  10. Also, a little reminder to everyone. Don't forget to post questions for Soto and Piggy. Neither of their threads have many questions.
  11. Well, I have Mark's amount of starts right on...
  12. Actually Edmonds is batting in the second hole and has been for about a month. That's because Walker is a gimp.
  13. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/standings?type=wild&br=5&year=2005&column=gamesBehind&order=false&st=2
  14. It is a lot easier to appear correct when you pick half of the field to win.
  15. Long-term would definatly be Beltran just because of the amount of money/years involved. He isn't as bad as he has been so far this year but he also is not as good as he was hyped up to be last year or even as good as he performed last year. At the break, I would definately go with Beltre. I think this is mostly because I wouldn't consider Guzman a bust because he has never really been that great. Same with several other players on that list. I have no idea why the Marlins tossed 8 mil to Leiter. Did anybody really except anything from Ortiz? Also, Ordonez does have an out clause in his contract based on DL time and I am pretty sure he is close to reaching it.
  16. I don't want to trade eigher Z or Wood. Then what was the point of this thread?
  17. This guy was on a couple Major League rosters in recent years and CONTRIBUTING. What happened? Did he get hurt? Probably blisters. And I also think that it depends on your definition of contributing.

Peoria and Boise also have the day off. OVERALL: 2-0
  19. All of the boxes are posted! Go Pinto in relief! (ASB coming up for AA)
  20. I still miss him. Hey, how are Pratt and Lewis doing? Oh yeah... :x :(
  21. Just so you know, Pie probably won't be a leadoff hitter when he is in the majors. At least he shouldn't be one.
  22. Yeah. He did hit a shot though.
  23. Funny that Bobby Abreu is owning the home run derby and isn't on that list.
  24. Um, let's see. Joe Carter, Bud Selig and Chip Caray? Replace Chip with Dave Otto and you have a list. *shudder*
