  1. You should take Shef out of your sig. He isn't coming to the Cubs and it kills me to see him in that jersey...
  2. Aramis has a really cute kid. He's (his son) is wearing a Dominican Republic bandana.
  3. I think that if they hit it out, some money goes to charity or something like that. Edit: Yep, for every golden ball hit out, 21,000 dollars will go to The Boys and Girls Club and the Easter Seals. Link
  4. Wow, that's ridiculous. Anybody that would pay 50 dollars for a brand new baseball without an autograph on it is just insane.
  5. Also, for those that don't look at the baseball forum, mainly looking at you Ron, there was an article about Pie and a couple of White Sox prospects in the Tribune today. Here is a link.
  6. Wow, sorry about that. The website didn't have a game listed under the upcoming games till the 15th so I just assumed that the ASB had started. For some reason I also missed the game when I looked at the schedule.
  7. Murton has excellent discipline at the plate and great bat control. He lacks the power a lot of teams desire for a corner outfielder, though. Just to add, in his prime you can probably expect a 25ish homer a year hitter.
  8. I don't think I would have a problem with that. Once the Jaxx season is over if they wanted to call him up to be a pinch runner and get the occasional spot start, it could be good for him. I really hope they let him finish his season at West Tenn. though. Agreed, I don't know if their season, plus playoffs, will be over before the end of the regular season though.
  9. Edmonds normally hits in the 5 or 6 hole.
  10. Buehrle is starting not Garland.
  11. I don't understand why they show him in the commercials if he isn't even in the derby. That is pretty stupid.
  12. Or maybe we are all biased. You should register at WSI (don't pick a username that has any sort of relevance to being a Cubs fan) and create the same poll.

  14. While Aramis has improved on defense, it also helps him a TON to have Derrek on the other end.
  15. So what are you saying? We don't have to choose between them, we have them both. I believe he is saying that Wood was better than Zambrano, who was a runner up for the Cy Young Award last year, when he was healthy.
  16. Granted, this isn't the best way to judge it but his ESPN scouting report said this: Link
  17. Ouch, how bad does that Bartosh trade look now. Yikes.
  18. Why wasn't this player in this game?
  19. Stupid ESPN making missed a bunch of this game.
  20. They probably wanted to replace Pie with a Cubs World OF, and who else is there from the Cubs system? I mean I know why he is there, I just really don't think he deserves it.
  21. I'll admit it is not amazing but he has dropped below 5 which was why people were crying earlier. He does have 8 wins which constitutes 19% of the Cubbies wins. As I have said all along, Maddux will get the Cubbies 15 wins and earn his money. Or you could say that the hitters are earning his money for him...
  22. deal. :thumleft: Right, why would we want our 3rd most productive hitter over the last month plus, to ever play? I would be fine with Holla being the key bat off the bench. I still don't trust that he can stay healthy for an extended period of time anyways.
