Thanks for posting that. I just don't see it happening for a number of reasons. First of all, I don't see the Red Sox trading away Manny with the situation they're in right now. We don't really have/couldn't afford what they would want, so it would have to be the middle of a multi-team deal. Secondly, with all of clubhouse cleaning up management did last year, I can't see them taking on a guy like Manny. Boston's front office has been shaking their heads about this guy for years. Even though Boston has two off day's in 5 days, Manny refused to play yesterday which was his scheduled day off. Francona wanted him in the lineup because of Nixon's injury but Manny refused. He had the play where the other night where he got blasted because he simply jogged (slower than an Aramis jog) in the 10th inning on a DP ball. Now the paper's are saying that teammates are fed up with him and sick of the media letting his stuff slide with the "that's just Manny being Manny." Thirdly, would they really trade another superstar to the Cubs for the third straight year?
