  1. It may or not be a complete coincidence they’ve been incapable of manufacturing runs or rallying on offense since the Amaya injury. Kelly isn’t Ruth, pitching staff is as a mediocre as ever and the Pirates Marlins, Whitesox or Rockies are no longer on the schedule to pad wins against.
  2. As long as the consecutive games without a 3 game losing streak continues, I’m good.
  3. So close to stringing together a whole 2 runs off of hits that didn’t land in the outfield seats. Maybe in July.
  4. Exactly what you want from PCA. Lays off breaking pitches way off the plate and gets a fastball on a 2-0 count in the zone.
  5. Competitive at bats. Liberatore tripled his pitch count from 5 to 15 pitches. Good work.
  6. Around the all star break i heard. May or not be a coincidence they forgot how to manufacture runs when he got injured on May 23rd.
  7. Good progress. Still lost 3/4. Wind blowing out helped the offense, of course the pitching staff doesn’t miss enough bats to keep the ball in the yard with the wind conditions. The ability to manufacture runs has been non existent since Amaya hurt his oblique. shotah and Amaya are badly missed, regardless of McGuires power surge. Blame who you want, more losses.
  8. I hope it’s bad luck. I hope it’s their typical early mid season slumps that were delayed thanks to an improved roster and taking advantage of any easy schedule early on. these ace pitchers don’t exactly have sub 1 ERAs, in the case of Gore Skubal Wheeler Flathery? And Skenes who lowered their ERAs vs this lineup. Time to start manufacturing runs. Shota and Amaya will hopefully reverse the trend of losing series to non cupcakes lately in hopefully what is a funk and not a bigger regression to the mean.
  9. He’s here to keep us haters in check. If you were to point out Carson Kelly’s 11/103 slump over last 25 or so games, you’re just a hater for bringing that up because he hit for the cycle vs the A’s in march.
  10. How about 41 runs through 27 inning from August 11-13 2021. There’s been worse.
  11. Mariners are scoring runs yet all their hits have landed in the ballpark. I think they’ve hacked baseball.
  12. What is this run scoring strategy that the Mairiners have deployed? They’re scoring runs, but all their hits land in the ballpark and dodge gloves, and they advance from base to base in the process. is this even legal? If not, maybe the cubs can give this Mariners discovery a try.
  13. Brujan subtracting another win from our combined bench WAR. What’s it at? -7?
  14. I understand Counsell saving the pen but up to what point? You’re conceding another game.
  15. Toast against Gore too, Skubal, Skenes, Wheelers and I guess Flathery is really good too.
  16. Alright. Now hit 4 solo homers and a bases loaded fielders choice rbi at the bottom of the inning and we have the lead,
  17. Are the cubs not due for a dub vs a pitcher with a sub 3,ERA?
  18. His ERA on the Rockies would very likely be close to double what it is. He wouldn’t have 5 gold glove caliber defenders behind him either. Double strike.
  19. Which is why he’s long overdue. The pitching staff in general has been a product of Wrigley and outstanding defense.
  20. 6 earned runs in 15.2 innings, I wouldn’t say that. Paying an egg is getting pulled in the fourth with Seattle hanging 6+.
  21. 6 earned runs in 15.2 innings, I wouldn’t say that. Paying an egg is getting pulled in the fourth tops with Seattle hanging 6+.
