  1. Either way game ball goes to Jayden. People who say Caleb was bailed out need to stop giving Swift all the glory. He wasn’t the one that dropped the ball at mid field with a little over 2 minutes left giving the offense the ball near midfield. It was personal for him. He showed us why Poles should’ve drafted him by helping the Bears win.
  2. Dodgers score only 2 runs, Blake Snell throws 8 shutout innings and they win by a 2-1 score. I wish we had someone like that for game 1.
  3. I’m hoping to find a compilation of these bad calls. Every 50/50 judgement call negatively impacted the Bears.
  4. Still a lot of inconsistency and slop on per top back basis. He’ll throw a 30 air yard bullet to Buden for a 37 yard pickup and on the next pass attempt he’s off target trying to lead a receiver sitting in zone. One thing that’s noticeable is he’s getting the ball out quickly and minimizing negative plays and it’s reflected in his efficiency stats. His ANY/A, QBR and NY/A are all right outside of the top 10 and his era adjusted efficiency is almost 2 standard deviations higher than a year ago. The lack of costly turnovers was the difference in this one as well.
  5. Couldn’t have teed up a more fitting ending for payback from the Hail Mary game. I can’t remember the last time we were on the right side of one of these.
  6. Yes!!!!$! Brewers lose too. Good night.
  7. Get closer, Don’t get complacent.
  8. They’re buttering us up to kick us in the nuts.
  9. In pouring rain too. Negative.
  10. Of course he catches the pass that doesn’t matter.
  11. Special teams coverage unit blows.
  12. Are you talking tonight or in general? That’s how you take 68 sacks.
  13. The missed opportunities were going to eventually comeback to haunt them, this shouldn’t surprise anyone
  14. Bears are a curb your enthusiasm episode.
  15. The defense has played up to their expectations with all the injuries. The way the roster is constructed they have to score points to win games and the offense has been underwhelming for 4/5 games. Play calling has been great though.
  16. Sloppy formation but the officials are horse sh t.
  17. Winning the turnover battle 2-0 and heading into halftime trailing for the second straight week is a bad look for the offense.
  18. Caleb is going to have to stretch the field eventually.
  19. Conservatively Suzuki will at least be in the 3’s now that he’ll get playing time in the outfield.
  20. Are they planning on keeping around Alcantara and Cassie to replace Suzuki and Happ or will either of them be used as part of a trade package to acquire a cost controlled starter like Cabrera? The timelines don’t align and if they’re in win now mode relying on rookies is a risky strategy whether it’s this year or 2027. If that’s the case then there should be no hesitation to pay a premium price for Valdez.
  21. Is it a sure thing Cassie is opening day DH and Mo develops in Iowa as a catcher or do you think there’s a possibility Cassie is packaged with other farm talent for a Edwards Cabrera or Gore? There’s a surplus of outfield options and Cassie is an unknown. I’m curious what their plans are when Happ and Suzuki are off the books. Alcantara slipped out of the top 100 and i’d trade him while he still has value. Tucker walking changes their win now urgency to an extent I’d think.
  22. We also have to assume we’re getting the same Justin Steele back before his surgery too. Valdez without question would transform this rotation but I’m afraid their ceiling is Cease and their floor is a Zach Gallen. Depending on Shotas future and if he walks, you’re still 5 deep and it’d be difficult to recruit another #3/#4 option with the possibility of losing a rotation spot when Steele returns.
  23. If Busch continues to sit vs lefties, free agent Paul Goldschmidt had a 981 OPS vs left handers last season and a career 1007.
