  1. Not even separated by a standard deviation. Remarkable.
  2. Point taken. Although Bonds did get on base more often than he made outs from 01-04.
  3. The timing of my post makes it seem like I was upset about pitching to him in that specific at bat. I was speaking in general terms. He’s arguably as good as early 2000’s Bonds, has mediocre lineup protection and has all these opportunities to hit pitches in the zone.
  4. I’m talking in general. He’s the best hitter since roided Bonds and has mediocre protection.
  5. They did it, they finally beat a left handed starting pitcher and a quality one.
  6. Why didn’t Palencia start the inning? End the game with the top of the order up.
  7. No home runs in 16 innings in one of the most hitter friendly series parks too.
  8. I don’t understand why teams still pitch to Judge. He’s just as dangerous as Bonds.
  9. You’d think Berti one of these days would accidentally position in his bat at an angle that meets the barrel of his bat for a base clearing 2 out double.
  10. Is there any other examples in baseball of all star caliber 1st baseman that bat almost exclusively vs right handed pitchers?
  11. I wonder what their splits are for starters vs relievers.
  12. Any word on Ben Brown? Is he at least trying to develop a changeup?
  13. Kelly doesn’t press nearly as much with RISP, CC is probably going back to what worked, albeit that’s when Kelly was mashing 2 months ago.
  14. It is. With a 3.3 ERA going into yesterday’s game you’d think 2-3 runs in 6 innings would be a reasonable expectation with this offense. He allowed 11 runs in his last 22 innings as well. Hopefully Boyd can keep them in the game today.
  15. I’ve been assured there’s nothing to see here and my eyes are deceiving me with that second ranked NL wRC+ vs left handed pitchers. Don’t know if I can find a stat that separates from starters from relievers though. If true, no reason they won’t get to Fried.
  16. No Busch today? Cubs are second in the national league in wRC+ vs left handed pitchers so there should be no problem scoring at least a few runs off of Fried today to make up for last nights shut out Go Mathew Boyd.
  17. Get ready to hear about that wRC+ Vs left handed pitchers that was inflated by an insane April. We need that reassurance that our eyes are deceiving us.
