  1. That makes sense. Had to step away for a moment and didn’t notice
  2. I was had a feeling someone would ask me that with my wording.
  3. Some insurance runs would be very nice this inning. It’s legal to score to more than 6 runs.
  4. Is their usual miss key opportunities with runner on base in the first few innings and just take a break from scoring runs, just a couple innings early today?
  5. I think they’ve stabilized since June. The whole team. They’re in a slump right now and the rotation injuries have caught up with them and they’ve been treading water for 2 months in large part because those injuries without any major ebs and flows in any phase outside of the current stretch of games.
  6. We really took for granted how much the pen was pitching well their capability. Now that the rotation injuries have caught up, the pen is too human and can’t hold a deficit and here we are. it seems like the top of the order has struggled a lot since they moved Busch to leadoff. Managers exploit the lefty heavy top of the order by bringing in lefties from the pen and instead of Busch hitting with runners on you have Happ and Swanson. I’m waiting for the power to pick back up, which means Suzuki doubles his career high in home runs.
  7. That’s not at all surprising. The timing was perfectly lined up. Bellestaros wil likely be sent down soon if they make a trade then, which I assume is the plan unless they keep McGuire when Amaya comes back which I don’t see happening.
  8. Does DFAing Brujan mean they have a trade in the works for another bat?
  9. I think a lot of us took the Bullpen pitching out of their minds for granted. Now they can’t hold a deficit to save their lives and PCA and Seiya are no longer on a 42+ home run pace, the offense turning human just isn’t enough to overcome these roster holes without multiple upgrades.
  10. The April-may offensive production wasn’t sustainable and neither was the May-June bullpen dominance, unfortunately, unless Seiya and PCAs 40 home runs pace picks back up of course.
  11. Cubs have now lost by 4+ runs in all of their last 7 losses
  12. Way to redeem yourself PCA. This is a mentally tough team. You have to give them that.
  13. That $40 million they slashed in the offseason definitely would’ve come in handy.
