  1. 2 weeks ago I wanted the Cubs to use Brasier more, now he's a doofus
  2. I really hope Tucker's recent play can be explained away by an injury because he does not look like a 500m player, or a 400m player
  3. This guy has an ERA north of 5 and the Cubs can't do anything
  4. anybody else tired of seeing the umpire kid. I get it, it's cool, cute, adorable, whatever and whatever. But why are they talking about it every half inning lol
  5. I didn't realize the Padres are only 2 games behind the Dodgers.. that would be so horsefeathered if the Cubs have to play the Dodgers in a potential wildcard. Talk about a tough matchup right out of the gate
  6. I think they want to get Palencia "right" (I believe he's had 2 or 3 outings in a row where he's given up a run). Unfortunately, looks like today isn't any better. Starting to get a tiny bit concerned about him
  7. Also, busy day so I couldn't tune in but: how horsefeathers impressive is Cade Horton. I'm really excited about his future. He could be the ace of this rotation in a year or two
  8. As lackluster as the Cubs have been lately, they are a Swanson missed step away from probably winning back to back series
  9. They will probably extend him, citing his "intangibles" and "defense" while letting guys like Tucker and Suzuki walk out the door
  10. Are the Brewers the best team ever or something? LOL I mean, my goodness, what's it going to take for that team to lose a couple of games in a row. Doesn't seem to matter who they play, they are 10 games over .500 against +.500 teams
  11. It's a damn disgrace that Dansby Swanson is the highest paid position player on this team
  12. You get what you pay for and the Cubs didn't pay for much at the deadline. This might end up being one of those seasons we reflect on and say "what if"
  13. The offense is slumping hard right now, need them to get it going..
  14. Kinda sucks honestly, for the game. Never want to see a young pitcher get hurt
  15. It has to be Brown that goes down. And tbh, he deserves it. Way too inconsistent. I do think he’d be good out of the pen though
  16. It's time for the Cubs to get Amaya/Assad/Taillon back... having a team at full strength would help quite a bit. I keep hearing they'll be back in August but hopefully it's not the end of August.
  17. There's no doubt that they used to be cheap AF back in the day. But the last 5-10 years or so, they've shown me that they do care about winning... they are just hilariously incompetent and not football people at all, so they always hire the John Fox's, Matt Nagy's and Eberflus's of the world. I feel like they finally got it right though. And they spent a TON of money this past off season. If Ricketts pays Tuck this off-season and keeps him in Chicago... I'll give him his flowers. That's the standard for me. They can't make a move like that and not keep him
  18. Pretty good start today from Rea and solid bounce back game for Pomeranz
