  1. If the Cubs win today, that next round matchup vs. Milwaukee will be so nuts. They owe it to the fans to find a horsefeathers way to win today
  2. The Padres scored first in each of the first 2 games, it would be nice to jump on them early.. Happ and PCA need to do something productive today
  3. What's it gonna take for this horsefeathers team to get a couple of base runners and give themselves a chance
  4. The offense has been terrible since the all star break. That's why I was concerned going into the playoffs, that was supposed to be their competitive edge. They sure as hell aren't going to blow anybody away with their starting pitching. Cease dominating today was a predictable outcome
  5. Lineup construction is not a dumb thing, otherwise the best hitters in baseball would be hitting at the bottom of the lineup instead of the top. Clearly it means something to people who are in the business.
  6. Sorry I don't love corner outfielders that can't hit worth a **** lol
  7. The guy has 6 ABs in the playoffs and 5 strikeouts against right handed pitching, something he's supposed to be good against. Do you at least agree that he shouldn't be hitting 3rd?
  8. Anybody but Happ. A wet paper bag for all I care, Happ is mediocre as hell
  9. I don't think it is. Suzuki has looked great in LF when given the opportunity and Moises has had a better stick than Happ the last few weeks, while having way more potential and also makes way more contact. They'd never have the balls to do it though
  10. Happ is such a great hitter... 6 ABs and 5 strikeouts when it matters. Bench this clown, move Seiya to LF and lets see Moises
  11. I'd love to see Cleveland win the series after their remarkable come back to take the division. Their manager is a baller
  12. Cease has an ERA of 4.5+, yet always destroys the Cubs. They need to make a statement today
  13. It can be useful in some situations though, I agree the game has evolved a bit but it's weird to me that a guy with 8 years of big league experience has never tried to lay down a bunt a single time in his life. Even role players these days think they are Barry Bonds
  14. True, I just want them to consider doing it occasionally and have some balance, it seems like this team never does it unless it's PCA trying to get on base
  15. Those are fair points but the best team in baseball, Milwaukee, plays small ball. You know who doesn't? Craig Counsell, who has never won a ring and Milwaukee is just as good or better since he left. I love CC and I get that analytics is his thing, but it doesn't mean that bunting doesn't have its place in baseball. By the way, Ian Happ has 0 career bunts, a guy like Freddie Freeman who is a 1st ballot hall of famer has 2 career bunts. So yes I do think it's fair to question if it's an entitlement issue with him. That's who he thinks he is in his mind. He's a decent player, a tick above average. Also, calling me negative every time we have a slight disagreement is lame dude, and comes across as dismissive. I'm obviously thrilled the Cubs won, doesn't mean I can't provide minor constructive commentary about other things I want to see them doing
  16. This was a 1-run game until what, the 7th inning. If you think trying to squeeze out a run in a playoff game is a bad philosophy then I guess there's no further point in discussing. Most skippers would disagree with you, including the one that won the most recent world series for the team we all root for
