  1. nice start. It's wild that the Angels have been trying to build a rotation for like 15 years and they seem no closer to being good lol
  2. I understand the reasoning why they made the move - they were desperate to get a cost controlled, talented guy that has upside, which allowed them to use that money in free agency. I guess I'm just not as optimistic about that particular move as I am some of the other moves they've made. It's too early to tell for sure.
  3. Cabrera has only 1 season where he's pitched over 100 IP, he will never be a workhorse guy that can log 180 IP or 200 IP in a season. Essentially, they are gambling on him being elite elite for the 5 innings that he will pitch every 5 days. He's got great stuff but the results haven't been there consistently, and he's a constant durability concern. He's prime Sonny Gray on his best day and more like Javier Assad on his worst. Heck of a price tag for a 27 year old who hasn't figured it out yet.
  4. I want a do-over on that one. With Happ and Suzuki soon to be FAs, Caissie would look great in LF.
  5. I really wanted Sandy Alcantara instead of Cabrera. IMO, he's one of the best pitchers in the game when healthy and the Cubs could have had him at a discount. And he threw 7 scoreless innings in his debut. Cabrera better deliver because that was a high risk move.
  6. I know people here don't love him but I'd take Zac Gallen over Shota in a heart beat for the same contract (1 year, 22 mill). I'm surprised the Cubs brought him back but hopefully it turns out to be a good decision
  7. First time posting in a while. I usually hibernate during the off-season 😆 So happy baseball is back. Go Cubs!
  8. Getting Bregman + Cabrera are monster moves. Great off season so far!
  9. so predictable that they wouldn’t score again after the 2nd
  10. I don’t want the cubs to re sign Tucker anymore, pains me to say it but they can do better for 300m
  11. If Mis faced the Dodgers or Phillies he wouldn't make it out of the 2nd inning. Need to put together better ABs and soon
  12. Palencia is an incredible player. He's come up so big time and time again. Huge weapon for years to come
