  1. Hopefully Assad can come back at some point and give them some good innings, along with a trade acquisition
  2. I hope that missed challenge doesn't come back to bite them
  3. Everyone says, we don't know what we'd do without Taillon this season. Which is true. But where would this team be without Matt Boyd? What a signing that was. Justin Steele-ish production all year
  4. Got lucky on that strike call lol that was like a foot outside
  5. I know Counsell hates bunting but I don't see how that isn't the right move at this juncture of the game. Especially with how good the bullpen is playing. Now the inning is over
  6. I agree completely, but I've noticed that they keep Cade consistently in that 75-88 range for pitch count since he's been here. Maybe still easing him in so he isn't fatigued come October. I wish they at least kept him in to finish the 6th though
  7. If I had to pick Ian Happ's speed for MLB The Show 25 I'd give him 20/100. He's a solid player that does a lot of things well but...athleticism is not it lol
  8. Yeah, a lefty winning potential back-to-back cy youngs is pretty wild. Although Kris Bubic might give him a run for his money this year.
  9. I'd take Skenes. Given his age, he's not even close to his peak performance and that's a frightening thought. Although Skubal is unreal too
  10. Same I was watching the MLB network last night and they were hyping up that CF on the Athletics, they picked Pete as the 3rd best defensive CF in the game. Kind of a joke tbh. He doesn't need to make splashy diving catches when he's so fast he runs down everything lol
  11. Today is just a great matchup between the future of the Cubs rotation and the future of the Yankees rotation
  12. that's true, it cuts both ways. My honest concern is just against these top southpaws. I know Tucker is Tucker and PCA is playing amazing, but asking a lefty to be that lefty killer is a tough ask. The only guy that can consistently slug against lefties is Seiya as of now. I'm hoping they can get a better guy than Turner as a platoon for Busch at the deadline.
  13. That's true. I thought that would have been a great off-season signing, but Boyd has been amazing so far
  14. That's fair. IMO, if they just had one more guy that can hit lefties, like a legit platoon 1st basemen, I'd be satisfied and I'd say they are ready to go for October. Probably already are regardless. But I hope that's something the FO is considering.
