When I said it's a shame what happened to them, I wasn't trying to paint Russell as a victim. He's human scum. I meant it from the Cubs perspective. It's a shame that they had a budding superstar at that position and overnight, they have to make other arrangements because he turned out to be a maniac.

When the Cubs stroll into Detroit in a few weeks, it could be a battle of the 2 best teams in baseball, record wise. Hopefully they can take all 3 vs. the Rockies.

I think it's safe to say that PCA is better than anything we had in the 2016 era. Yes he probably won't win the MVP this year with Ohtani and Tatis lurking in the NL, like Bryant did in '16, but PCA's defense and base running put him in a different stratosphere. This is unchartered territory. He's essentially a young Bryce Harper that can also steal 50 bags lol

Very satisfying win. It seems like they are stretching out Horton bit by bit, what a weapon that will be down the stretch. Palencia deserves a lot of credit, even despite that blown save yesterday he's probably been a top 5 reliever in the sport over the last ~5 weeks. He's figured something out
