  1. This certainly won't quiet the "Cubs under perform vs good teams" crowd
  2. Real scenario the Cubs are only up 3.5 games after today. Really hope they don't wait around to make a trade or two
  3. Given the upcoming road trip we might not see him for a while, maybe once or twice at most
  4. I wonder how much money Boog gets paid to essentially be a part time employee
  5. It's a catch 22. Obviously we all want the Cubs to win the World Series this year, but if they do, I don't see a scenario where they extend Tucker. They'll go back to the fanbase and say "see! we know what we're doing! stop calling us cheap!" and they'll just stick Caissie in RF next year. Hope I'm wrong.
  6. Wrigley has played like an extreme pitcher's park all year. When that normalizes a bit, this is probably the best offense in baseball.
  7. And Horton getting an earned run out of that is a joke... should be 2 errors
  8. The Cubs are acting like they've never played in these conditions before. This is YOUR home ballpark. Figure it TF out. The Mariners are the ones that should be making these mistakes
  9. So Michael Busch is 7th in MLB in WAR at his position despite not really playing against lefties. Can't say enough how great of a trade that was. If he ever figures out that part, he's one of the best 1st baseman in baseball
  10. Huge bullpen let down game. Easy for me to say this in retrospect but I wish they let Boyd go for the 6th.
  11. For me personally, I think the offense is great even with Shaw. I just saw an opportunity to 'go for the kill' so to speak. The Cubs would overwhelm a lot of these teams on offense if they had a plus hitter at 3rd. But I recognize that Shaw deserves more time to figure it out and there might not be a viable upgrade available Holy cow what a play by Boyd
