I wouldnt be surprised if Counsell would push for Shaw to start the season at 3B if we move Parades. He has a track record of letting young guys play and figure it out. Im team start Shaw at 3B, but we definetly need a stopgap on the bench.

True. 3B is such a wasteland right now and giving up our starter AND a promising bat for 1 year is a lot. Id probably still do it though since its Kyle Tucker

Id be hesistant to give up both Parades and Smith for just one year. Id want an extension in place.

I think the Cubs could easily make a Tucker trade work without giving up either Shaw or Horton but id give up both easily for him if an extension was guarenteed

Why would you trade Suzuki? He was number 16 in wRC+ last year and we all know this team desperately needs guys that can create runs. That would be an insanely dumb move. It is Hoyer though. It has to be Bellinger only.

There was a kid on reddit the other day that reported that Edman was signing with the Dodgers before it was announced. He claimed to be a friend of Friedmans family or something. I cant remember. Sometimes they get scoops just that way. Not saying he's credible but its not impossible -
I think we see Ballestros get a full AAA season this year. Maybe comes up and down but I'd keep him there for a bit. I think we know that this FO loves the bat. Get him continued reps at catcher.

One of Cassie/Alcantara/MoBaller, one of Triantos/Rojas and one of Assad/Wicks/Wiggins. That's probably close. Shaw and Cam Smith are the two untouchables for me right now. Mo Baller is close because of the bat but like 1908 said, if they wanted him I'd trade him.

Liked Rosario but dont mind giving him up here. Has way too much risk and the K rate annoyed me. Good move -
Im not counting out the Cubs but I find it hard to believe he doesnt sign with the Dodgers.

Id like to avoid dealing Shaw or Cam Smith in any deal this offseason. I think we have the depth to get any deal done with out including those two.

We did get some reports that the Cubs were pursuing catchers like O'Hoope at the trade deadline. I imagine they revisit that in the offseason. We gotta get some pop back there. Langerliers would be nice to pair with Amaya like everyone keeps saying.

I'm not worried about it and I dont think he does but the Dodgers got money to do weird things. Ive been guessing hes gets like a 1+1 deal with an option for like 26 mil total.
