    as my interest in the cubs begins to wane, i think i will start by avoiding the eminently skippable cardinals night games. entirely too likely to be painful losses, and it's not during the day when i'm trapped at work and appreciate the distraction, win or lose. someone text me if matt garza has a no hitter through six, though.

    Who are we kidding? Hendry doesn't know how to use a computer, let alone email (both sending and receiving of). i think imb told a story once about having a boss who made one of his underlings print out all his emails and bring them to him. i would totally buy it if we heard that guy that hendry hired as director of informational statistics or whatever spent most of his time doing that.
