    i like this idea because i was trying to figure out how you would convey to the players that a ball was fair or foul, and the first thing that popped into my head was strapping giant speakers to the umpires' chests that would bellow out the call. i support this plan as long as we can do that.

    he's about the same player offensively, yes, but i think like a third of the board (including ssr 3 million times) said he was going to hit 20 home runs this year. there's still time to improve, but the fact that we've seen either no improvement or slight regression is disappointing. the defensive improvements are obviously a completely different story.
