    i've always been really big on the idea of trying to build a stadium with a big enough left field and small enough center field that it would be optimal to put your best fielder in left.

    Except Jackson isn't the Cubs' top prospect, nor has anyone denied that the strikeouts are a huge concern. Kyle, as he is wont to do, made a few rash and hyperbolic remarks earlier, which got everyone's goat. But things aren't looking too bright for BJax, I'm afraid. Unless there is some heretofore unnoticed mechanical flaw can be found, I'm not optimistic. agreed completely.

    Rizzo cut his rate 14% from last year i don't believe that's correct, everyone knows that once you hit 60 PA your numbers normalize and you can make permanent judgments about players

    the latter is very much how i feel about all the post-season awards. if you're looking to trade the guy, they're great, but if you want to keep him, they probably only make him marginally more expensive.

    Jeez. Man up and realize that that franchise ain't even on our level and thinks about it every single day, (and let our lil homies ride on em). They're all LOOK AT ME because they're the neglected red-headed step child. how are they not on our level? i guess if the only way we evaluate levels is by tickets sold or team value we're better, but their team is better right now and has won a world series recently.

    i generally agree, though seeing him play so well here does just make me mad that no one would give up anything of worth for him even if they could have him for free.

    That's more depressing than any hyperbole I could make up about this offseason. I really hope that's not true. they're all a good bet to be average-or-better players (much better in the case of Castro and Rizzo), so i don't see the big deal though i am, admittedly, probably higher on Valbuena than most If they were used for the right matchups/splits I think Valbuena/Vitters/Stewart could achieve league average production at 3B. this is probably true if Valbuena/Vitters/Stewart are used in something like a 90/0/10 split most teams don't have the personnel for a platoon in which one of the players only faces pitchers who throw underhand. but then most teams don't have josh vitters.
