  1. that's horribly embarrassing for every other team if true. but i doubt it is.
  2. maannnnnnnnnn that would have been cool.
  3. "has a rapport with garza" is an interesting way to phrase "has a history of getting into fights with garza"
  4. lol 1.75 million apparently hendry was exploiting a market inefficiency with all though sweet henry blanco contracts
  5. MOST INTERESTING FACT EVER the best thing you can do in the nfl is hit someone in the head and give them a concussion! why do anything else? it means you will win for sure! if you do it, your team will win and you can go watch anything else. i really don't know why i will watch the nfl beyond this game.
  6. plus templeton is a freakin rat so that should be easy to beat
  7. man, trading castro would be great, because then i would really, truly, honestly be OUT and not have to follow the cubs anymore
  8. everyone post one-liners about their engagement/wedding/relationship and i will judge which is the best
  9. Yay for self-promotion in a way that is actually, technically, just helping out Dave! http://www.bleachernation.com/2012/11/06/the-cubs-are-one-of-five-teams-showing-concrete-interest-in-korean-lefty-hyun-jin-ryu/ You should know you can feel free to promote any of your content here, but you may need to be prepared to defend yourself if you really are a fan of Kaplan! Haha, thanks, Tim. I would say I am a fan of many things that Kap does well. wait, dave kaplan killed himself?
  10. this is an awful thread, you guys can all go to acheron
  11. The Ricketts own, I believe, 25% of Comcast Sports Chicago, so like CR said, odds are a restructured CSN deal after 2012 would be VERY favorable for the Cubs. Hell, even if the Ricketts didn't have the ownership stake it would still work out for the Cubs just being able to negotiate with a single network. so we should be even more angry that we aren't spending any money? It's not a time machine deal, son. do you mean a restructured deal after 2014 then?

  13. I want to know what the context of the conversation was that lead him to discuss the FA market in 2015. I could be wrong, but I think 2014 is the final year of the current WGN/CSN TV deal, which would explain why he's bringing 2015 up. wgn deal ends after 2014, but the [expletive] csn deal runs through 2019
  14. i really liked that graphic fox just put up saying the bears were 6-2
  15. Puffy...51-anything looks sexy true fact
  16. since when is cj still that fast?
  17. my friend is a falcons fan and he always tells me about how scared he is of the bears. i think this is the correct mindset. the bears are horrifying to play because the defense might take the ball from you 4 times and score twice, and the special teams might score too. and brandon marshall might just punch all your cornerbacks in the face and catch 12 balls with ease. so that's really scary! you don't want to play this team at all. but the idea of this team putting together three or four consecutive good games and making a super bowl run? it seems impossible. i'd rank us very low (lowest?) among the agreed-upon "good teams" as far as chances of actually making or winning the super bowl goes.
  18. THIS IS THE WORST DEFENSE THERE IS, PLEASE START DOING THINGS
  19. peanut punched the ball out at the end of the first play. haha, awesome. my lady was leaving to go to the gym so when i saw the completion i said UGH and stood up to say goodbye. and missed the coolest thing we do.
  20. how the f did the bears get the ball, i stepped away from the computer for one minute after the first titans completion and when i come back it's third and nine for the bears
  21. the one on the right is pretty giants-y.
  22. WE BETTER FIND OUT THE CUBS WERE SENDING 300 MILLION DOLLARS TO THE ANGELS IN THIS TRADE
  23. brett at bleacher nation says we pulled the deal off the table DOWN WITH THEO
  24. even i like this and i hate everything
  25. and the cardinals have only won 90 games twice in the past seven years, so you're looking for the cubs to have a MUCH more successful run than what they are on right now.
