I wasn't making the argument that PSU has a more lustrous history. Just pointing out the number of times they've gone undefeated and been screwed since Paterno took over as head coach (1965).

Now-does that give ND an advantage on Saturday? Of course not-but there are significant differences in their overall histories. Penn State got robbed in at least two years IMO too, 69 and 94. In 69 they had Franco Harris AND Lydell Mitchell....wow. FWIW, I submit 1993, when FSU and ND both finished 11-1, ND beat FSU in head to head play, and the pollsters gave it to FSU under the little-known "if one coach already has a title, then give it to the other out of sympathy" clause. Wouldn't have been so infuriating except that in 1989 Miami and ND were in the same situation (Miami beat ND, two one-loss teams) and they gave it to Miami, as well they should have, then reversed their logic four years later. My problem with that is that Penn State won every game each of those years. That's all you can ask and if you lose a game you get what you get. PSU went undefeated in 1968, 1969, 1973 and 1994 and didn't win a national title in any of those years.

Who's whining? I am pretty sure everyone one here thinks the ND deserved to drop and did not look like a #2 team last week. I didn't see anyone whining either, at least not on this board. Oh well. Stop whining.

Oh, because the O-H-I-O chants are so awesome. OHIO is a weak chant. If 1/3 of the shoe chanted THE, next third chanted OHIO, last third chanted STATE, it would be comical. MIZZOU sounds like a decent chant. ILLINI is pretty good too. We are just sounds silly to me. you expect people in Ohio Stadium to be able to measure thirds?
