Jennings is overrated on this board. He is not that good of a pitcher in my book. You could probably get the same production out of Jason Marquis. Marquis is very similiar to Jennings in his style of pitching. The style may be the same, but the results are much different. not possible. Style=results.

Also he has a low OBP. he at least was always gritty, which is what counts more than anything in baseball. Also there are home runs. Excellent use of "also there are home runs"

No Cub had an OBP higher than Dunn's last year, and last year was a bad year for Dunn. Who cares about his batting average? I do. OBP is great and all, but a high OBP doesn't excuse a piss poor batting average. I love guys who can get on base in general, but I also love guys who can hit their way on. A walk is nowhere near as valuable as a hit can be. Agreed. And if Dunn could figure it that there is more to baseball then the LONG homeruns (coughssingles/doubles), his batting average would go up, and OBP would literally reach the level that Bonds was at for the last few yrs. I would also like Adam Dunn to hit singles at the expense of home runs. That would make him much more valuable.

The next person to say that Adam Dunn isn't valuable because they don't understand his strikeouts and lack of average are more than made up for by his batting eye and power gets my size 16 legerdemain in their groin.

I hope everyone in America agrees with you. And I mean that. Agreed. because that means that everyone else in America realizes, like you do, that Notre Dame doesn't deserve a BCS spot. Under the BCS rules, with only 2 teams allowed per conference, ND does deserve a bid. I realize that. And that's why Notre Dame gets in with no argument, really. But that doesn't change the fact that they don't deserve it.
