  1. I'm sure he's got a sweet job at a car dealership lined up.
  2. This just in: OSU and LSU have a combined graduation rate of 8. Students. Ever.
  3. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
  4. Big props to Khabibulin, he really made some big stops and kept the Hawks in it. GREAT game by Sharp, Toews was good as well. Toews is awesome. That play he made in the third where he went to the endboards and blocked the clearance attempt and then passed it out in front while on his knees was badass.
  5. Deserved. That defense is horrible. How many games have they blown leads in? 97. The defense wasn't even the worst part. It was the crappy all-longball offense that really did him in, I think. Just totally uninspired.
  6. England has a chance to eliminate Italy cept for roma
  7. don't worry. we all did.
  8. I can't wait to go back to Columbus in 2009 and lose my voice in the 2nd minute again.
  9. baseball stat researchers for ESPN: the most ignored people on earth.
  10. picture 14?
  11. after what? i missed it Intentional high cleat to the face, gave him a black eye and huge laceration between both eyes. Lots of blood. Pics should be up on the internet soon if not the intro to Sportscenter. He might not have meant to kick him square in the face but it is very reckless and more than a yellow imo. he only got a yellow for it?

  13. Probably a good idea. I said hi to him on the street once and he punched me in the gut and stole my wallet.
  14. The way I see it is only 2.5 mil more than 10 mil per. 2.5 mil is nothing for the Cubs. And a scant 10 mil over 2.5 mil a year. We're paying him barely more than $2.5 mil a year!
  15. The bottom line is this: Ronny Cedeno has never cleanly fielded a batted ball.
  16. In my world, a stolen base will be worth 4 runs. its name will be changed from "stolen base" to "grand slam" Ryan Theriot had 28 grand slams last year, resulting in 112 runs. Therefore, he is better than Soriano, who only had 19 grand slams for 76 runs.
  17. I thought Carpenter's surgery was a shoulder procedure very similar to Prior's, was it not? It was. muskat can't remember that Carp had surgery twice on his shoulder (the first similar to prior's, the second to clean up scar tissue supposedly left over from the first) before the recent TJ surgery.
  18. I used to be in favor of Cuban, but then i heard that he directly financed Japanese internment camps.
  19. I agree When was the last time a new ballpark came out that was a cookie cutter? I'd say the last stadium built that was completely uninteresting as New Comiskey. Every stadium built or in the works since that stadium has at least a somewhat interesting design. Cookie-cutter isn't the right word for it, but Busch Stadium has really milked the "retro style with modern amenities!" teat bone-dry. Exactly. http://www.ballparks.com/baseball/national/stlbpk01.jpg http://media.bonnint.net/wtop/1/189/18944.jpg http://www.gothamgazette.com/graphics/CitiField.jpg It looks just like those but with fewer outfield seats and a wacky sail on top of it.
  20. That would be great, especially if his dad sticks with the dual defensive mids. I'm confident he'll develop a nice offensive game. In the U-20's he was arguably our best player along with Freddy and was always getting forward and into the action. I didn't think he was that great in the U-20s until the later games. Certainly Szetela outshone him in the first couple of games. Since then, though, he has looked very, very good in every game I've seen him in.
