  1. aye
  2. Cheapest place that's on the market in the tower is almost $800k. For a 710 square foot studio. Oh, and I lied a bit earlier when i said it was 60% done. It's just a tad shorter than the IBM building right now, and the IBM building is something like 47 stories. The Trump Tower is supposed to be 92. So it's somewhere around 50% of max height.
  3. He was at about 75% of 758 units as of mid last year. Dunno about anything since then
  4. not finished. They're at about 60% of max height
  5. MOM.....MEATLOAF! you're missing a word after MEATLOAF
  6. really that's it for bieksa? i thought i read that he tore his achilles tendon pretty badly. it was pretty bizarre watching him crawl on the ice last night. i only saw the salo injury live. seeing blood spurt onto the ice like it did with him is never good. Bieksa tore his calf, not his achilles
  7. haha they couldn't even do it with the refs help
  8. Haha Charlie Weis is actively [expletive]
  9. Mets for those of you who weren't -14 in 1969. Sadly, the realignment has all but killed that once incredibly heated rivalry. It was close to Cubs/Cards levels at one time. aye, I hated the Mets much more than the Cards growing up aye, Pirate Sanders
  10. There are. However, I have little faith in any of them coming to fruition.
  11. 1966, also the last time they won the cup. '66 is what some people say made the world cup into the huge event that its become today. i also don't think we'll get it or deserve it, though it would be great to have it again. Right now I would list England as the favorite simply because of security and stadiums. Hopefully I will be their should it happen, luckily I have 11 years to plan for it. I would however think the US could generate more revenue for Fifa. I'm curious to see a Holland/Belgium split bid. Without England and the US, they would have a real legit shot. Didn't FIFA say no more split bids?
  12. I could see that one coming from a mile away. Mark this one down: everyone's freaking out about how the South Africa WC will be a nightmare in terms of logistics and crime, but the real nightmare will be Brazil 2014 if something drastic doesn't happen in that country in terms of footballing infrastructure and power, as well as general infrastructure in the country itself. A couple of months ago Blatter did say if Brazil doesn't get things together they could easily lose the WC even after announcement of winning the bid. The US is considered one of the options of a contingency plan to move the 2014 WC should that happen. I would expect the US to be one of the top 2-3 front runners for 2018 with England when that time comes. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/soccer/10/31/bc.eu.spt.soc.worldcup2.ap/index.html Well England is already in, I expect the US will announce something in the coming weeks/months. Would not be suprised to see Austrailia enter the mix as well. This will be wealthy country World Cup, other countries need not apply. As much as I would love to see the US get the Cup, I would equally love to go to England and watch the Cup live. Its going to be a very competitive bid and the most exciting since Germany won it even if tainted through bribery. It almost could come down to the final stadium Wembley vs. who we throw out there. Right now I name the new Texas Stadium. there's no way we'll beat england for WC 2018
  13. dammit, i forgot to tape the rome derby

  15. Alright, but wasn't it like $25,000 worth? $25k worth of HGH to treat a simple glandular condition? Color me suspicious. Obviously any doctor prescribing a medication is going to put a medical condition in the record as a reason for prescribing it. That's going to be the case with normal prescriptions, as well as shady ones. So I'm not sure that really proves anything, but it's good to know. Obviously it didn't help Byrd's fastball. I don't think that's really the point either. i don't know if you are on any medications, but they ain't cheap. For something like recombinant (i.e. produced in a genetically engineered lower organism) hormones, they could be something like $300-500 for a dosing regimen Note: I have no idea if it is actually this expensive, just saying that recombinant drugs aren't cheap. EDIT: Went and looked it up. looks like a standard dose of somatropin is .2mg/day, and I found a 5mg vial online at Walgreens.com for $368. So that's a 25 day supply. So he's looking at $5372 a year. In 4.5 years, there's your $25k.
  16. you just gave up a two minute, 97 yard drive with no timeouts to Brian Griese and the Bears offense. Bitching about reffing is not allowed.
  17. Wuertz' composite ERA 2004-2006: 3.44 Wuertz' post all-star ERA 2004-2006: 2.88 Wuertz' BAA 2004-2006: .226 Wuertz' BAA post all-star 2004-2006: .211 At what point are you going to admit that you simply pull s*** out of your ass?
  18. I think vance is making a joke out of the fact that we've definitely had posts detailing that they're just the fighters (I've stated so several times), but nobody actually cares.
  19. oh no you didn't Now completely confused... Bob Sanders hates the word sow. I can't believe you didn't know that.
  20. that line is reserved for when Glendon Rusch gives up a home run.
  21. I like the fact that, aside from Clint, Szetela, Adu and Bradley all seem to be pretty edgy. We need players that defer less to the opponents and take none of their crap. I also enjoyed Clint's chug-my-arms-while-walking move when he got subbed in injury time.
  22. Which of those three is Joe Buck?
  23. I finally watched the game this afternoon, and I have to say that I love Freddy Adu. Did anyone else notice the fact that he stuck his leg behind himself and hooked down that longball in injury time, then made a move, got brought down, and then got pissy when the guy that brought him down did the I'm-pretending-I'm-Checking-On-You-But-I'm-Actually-Trying-To-Make-You-Get-Up move. Just fantastic.
  24. Heh, I have to deliver a proposal for work and I have a feeling that my lunch break and the traffic back to the office will be suspiciously long. My boss is gone though, so it's okay. I'm stuck waiting until I get home at 7 to watch. i'm really looking forward to it, but my expectation is that few of the players I want to see on the field will see the field. Who do you want to see the field? I'd be stunned if Adu and Szetela didn't play. Really? I figured they'd come in for 10 minutes at the end. Hope I'm wrong. But I think it'd be just like Bob to call them in to "experience the intensity of a senior national training camp" or something and then give them some garbage minutes.
  25. What'd he do? I missed it Hit the ball a long way and then pulled his pants down at home plate and danced around in this underwear.
