Well, I guess I'm honored to be the only member in NSBB history to have a game threads record go x-x-1. Buchanan gets the start, and to tell you how little that means, the mlb.com preview page doesn't even have a picture for him right now. He goes against Josh Smith of the Reds who is a pitcher I guess. Uh, try not to tie this one. -
In the event of a tie, do I still start tomorrow's game?

As the Cubs go for the series win and to go 15-4 against the Pirates this year. The send Rob Zastryzny and the Bullpen to the mound for Rob's first career start. For the Pirates, they send Nova and probably a good chunk of their bullpen. 4 games left, I want to start them all.

I think he hit that ball really high Yeah, that seemed to take a long time to get out there. -
He's slashed .258/.379/.453 with a wRC+ of 124 during his streak (not counting today's game). So, while not world beating, would rank him in the top 25 outfielders with at least 190 PA (195 during streak).

Didn't Randy Hundley fill in on a few occasions? Did Hollandsworth ever do it? Or did he actually sit in on the TV broadcast? Hopefully I'm imagining all of this. Hollandsworth did TV broadcasts. His biggest issue was that he wouldn't shut up. He'd make an ok point, but then keep horsefeathering talking about it.

I was looking up the players left from the 90s: Alex Rodriguez 1994 41 Bartolo Colon 1997 43 Carlos Beltrán 1998 39 Adrian Beltre 1998 37 David Ortiz 1997 40 A.J. Pierzynski 1998 39 Joe Nathan 1999 41 and realized that ARod is the last player active who debuted prior to the 1994 MLB strike.

Maybe Jeff Luhnow should have a seat next to you. Just 3 seasons ago, Gomez was worth 8.5 wins in a single season. ERADICATE BASEBALL REFERENCE FG still had him at 7.4 for that season. Hell, the next season FG and BR were reversed, with BR giving him a 4.8 and FG giving him a 5.7.

I' like ESPN's overlay better: http://www.hittrackeronline.com/ballpark_overlay.php Look like left field is a little deeper at Oakland, but right-center is deeper at Wrigley. I'm guessing it just feels bigger because Oakland is a huge, empty stadium
