  1. I really enjoy the lengths Toyota went trying to hide that Jan is pregnant in that commercial.
  2. Anthony has been absolute dog crap with guys on base the past week or two. I think the crummy numbers (even though they're on the upswing) are really starting to get to him.
  3. Happ was pretty charming during that Weather Channel bit. So I guess it's like a Dexter Morgan thing where he can turn it on to lure his prey into a false sense of security?
  4. Not a weatherman and all that, but looking at the radar, it looks like this soft stuff will continue for a little bit, and then it will clear up for a little while, and then there will be one last band of bad stuff (enough to cause a delay I'd guess?) before it clears up for good.
  5. South Bend with 7 errors through 4 innings
  6. I could see trading for a starter if things don't get better (I think they will), but Hamels makes no sense. He has the EXACT SAME PROBLEM as the rest of our starters. He's lost a couple MPH off his fastball, so now his walk rate is creeping up because he's nibbling, and when he does throw strikes he's giving up homeruns like crazy.
  7. Law has us taking Naylor in his latest mock. He's my favorite prospect in our range so that sounds pretty good to me.
  8. The fact that you think a 92 wins is something that requires an excuse is proof that you're either trolling or outrageously entitled. They weren't a good team last year. They built a huge hole and spent the entire 2nd half digging themselves out of it and benefitted from playing in probably the 2nd worst division in baseball. And then when they got to the NLCS, they were gassed and admitted it. This year they were supposed to come out hot and avoid all this, instead it's the same exact team. Quite frankly, I don't think the players have let 2016 go yet and that's a problem.
  9. It's time to let 2016 go, it was great and happened and last year was fine with the World Series hangover excuse but what's the excuse now? The fact that you think a 92 wins is something that requires an excuse is proof that you're either trolling or outrageously entitled.
  10. And it's not because he's walking the world either. Like I've just come to accept that he has a few weeks every summer where he loses the strike zone, but yeah this is just weird.
  11. I know he's doing a star wars bit but even keeping that in mind Bob Rohrman is in pretty rough shape.
  12. The team that absolutely destroyed us in the NLCS last year? Weak attempt. 3/10 at best. You're better than this.
  13. Has there been an update on the juiced ball? Because I feel like Rizzo's ball would have been easily out last year.
  14. Who are the beat reporters supposed to ask that question to? The most in-the-know people on that front are in the dugout. Texting with the FO? I feel like in a situation like this we generally have an answer within an inning or so, no?
  15. Where are the beat writers to confirm that Yu's early pull was planned? I saw Sharma had flight issues, but all the others are silent right now too.
  16. Statcast says it was kind of a trash dong too. 94 MPH and only a hit 11% of the time. The ball must really carry at this park.
  17. Maybe that tumble will fix Jim Wolf's eyesight
  18. Wowsa what a rocket from Willson. 108 MPH
  19. [tweet] [/tweet]
  20. I wonder if this knocks him out of the Hall. Barring a Pujolsian collapse he was getting in, but now I could see him languishing in Sosa/McGwire territory.
  21. I don't think he's quite there yet but I wonder if as Lester's skills diminish more the right play might be to up his curve usage to like 30+ percent
  22. I think it's more that Bryant and Rizzo and Contreras were all cold at the same time
