    Yeah, not as excited about this move as I was when he first signed. He dropped 7 passes last year, which was the same as Allen Robinson. Only issue was ARob had about 100 more targets. Dropped 7 of 37 catchable passes. That's not good. His catch rate last year was right in line with his career rate really. Unfortunately drop% only goes back 2 years but just the year before it was half as much. I doubt a skill diminished that far, I'd bet it was more flukish. Overall I think it was a fine addition. Nothing more nothing less.

    I still remember when we swept the Pistons in the ECF better than I do most of the other series from that era. We were camping at the time and were listening on the radio. Several other families we didn't even know started gathering around our lot to listen to the games and by game 4 it was an all out block party. We kicked their asses in furious fashion, and the energy was insane. Also the ECF against the Pacers in 97-98 I believe it was. That was the closest we came to actually feeling like we could lose a playoff series. I was never all that nervous in our Finals matchups. But that series they seemed to have an answer every time it felt like we were gonna pull away.

    Joe Cowley @JCowleyHoops 2h Cannot stress this enough - the Bulls organization instantly looks better in the eyes of potential big-name free agents with Gar Forman gone. His presence poisoned the well with players, agents, and other execs. Players talk, and Forman was deemed completely untrustworthy.

    I like the Raptors guy a lot. I also would love it if they grabbed the guy from Denver. They didn't completely luck out on Jokic at 41; they saw a player with the size of a center but who could handle the ball like a guard. His agent tried pulling him from the draft but Denver guaranteed they would take him in the 2nd so he acquiesced. They built a legit Western contender with only 1 top 10 pick and no major FA signings, getting rotation contributors consistently in the 2nd round.

    Pace really needs to trade back with 1 or even both 2nd rounders. Theres not much money left to plug up all the needed depth and certainly not enough picks to compensate for that either. Knowing him he will take them both (and a future pick) to trade into the end of the 1st.

    The Angel's fired a clubhouse attendant after an internal investigation confirmed suspicions that he had been providing opposing pitchers with ball-doctoring substances. He worked for them for 30 years. Oh man I'd be livid if I were in that org.

    So again, why should the Cubs make this deal? Because they arent confident in Bryant's desire to sign beyond 2021 and if they can get NA's opt-out waived then they will be in a stronger future position

    Roederer's arm makes me think moved off CF/Billy McKinney type of future in the field. I mean sure hes gonna get stronger and hopefully that improves along with it but until that time comes, I'm just not that enthused about him. How valuable is he if he cant man CF? I'd imagine not very.

    FWIW Football Outsiders has tracked DVOA since 1999 and this Packers team had the 2nd lowest grade among 13 win teams since the Mike Brown miracles Bears of 2001

    So it appears you can win in today's NFL by bludgeoning your opponent on the ground. Henry has 1275 yards in his last 8 games.

    If Arenado would agree to waive the opt-out I'd hope we would be all over that acquisition. The left side of our IF would get a tremendous boost and he basically makes what we hope Bryant would take. It makes sense to me but it's an extremely complicated trade to make work and I dont see it happening. What's gonna happen is the Cards will figure a way to make it happen and they will have their new Rolen to haunt us for the next half decade.

    Second most ever. Allan Houston had a game with 37 points. Reggie Miller had a game with 34 points and added 0 turnovers also. Michael Redd had a game with 29 points and also had no turnovers and no fouls. He also didn’t take a FT in the game so all he did in the box score was take 14 shots (13 of which were 3-pointers). Nice, thanks for doing the research. I figured it hasnt happened often.

    Bojan dropped 35 points without an assist, rebound, block, or steal. I feel like that has to be a pretty rare feat. Edit: just read he became the first player ever with multiple games if 25 pts with 0 in those other 4 categories.

    The Angels at 8/1 are intriguing. Losing Cole and their current means of stealing signs (ie they could very well develop a better/stealthier system) could take the Astros down a couple notches. Add in the Angels lineup and Joe's initial morale and chemistry boost, they could make a run at it. They can still make some plays/splashes in FA as well to further close the gap, maybe muddy up the division a little. The A's will always be competitive but are not locks to be better than the Angels IMO

    I mean if his non-hitting skills continue to grade that high he would likely produce more war in his team control than we would get out of KB for the next 2 years but I'm just not feeling his hitting skill. So it would just be a 1-1 trade if we are fortunate enough to get Robles?

    I would wager that a lot of his milb offense was bolstered by his speed, turning squibblers into infield singles and some bloop doubles. He averaged 81 EV last year, hes horsefeathering weeeeeeak. I believe he benefited quite a bit from the juiced ball last year and wouldn't expect 15+ HR in a 'normal' year. I'm not gonna go gaga over a 4 war season from a 21 year old that's all based on non-offense. Been down that road before. Theres enough for me to believe that hes really not a good hitter and if he doesnt get a lot stronger, I feel his offensive upside is not that great.

    I have a feeling this will turn out really well for the Brewers. After all they did find success in another MLB washout who found himself in the KBO. The dude put up fantastic KBB last year, he should at least control the zone well, which is basically Q's most impactful contribution IMO. I'm just frustrated with their lack of movement.

    I’d rather have Q. He gets horsefeathers on because of how much we gave up and the fact that he hasn’t quite lived up to expectations, but he’s also 25th in WAR among pitchers since joining the Cubs. There’s 20 Josh Lindbloms every year in free agency. Q is whatever. Kudos to him for tidying up his KBB so that fg would like him enough, but his run prevention is on a sharp decline. Despite moving to a more pitcher friendly park and having a better defense behind him he has accumulated less than half of the bwar with us than he did in the 3.5 seasons prior with the Sox. Before we got him he was excellent according to both systems. Now we are just grateful that one finds him to be good still.

    I'm seriously despising our inability to move bad money. horsefeathering get creative. Hell, you could have just moved Q. I'd rather have Lindblom at 3/9 than him at 1/10, risk of him not translating seamlessly be damned.

    Iit would be the best outcome, and why I cheer on Mitch. We have other needs, like TACKLE We need more viable edge rushers badly. Leno and Massie are locked in with their salaries already. I'd prefer a vet pickup there. The draft class is strong at edge and we could get something really nice to complement Mack. I've seen enough of Floyd to know that he is an utter JAG. Keep grooming Bars and hope he can supplant Massie next year at some point.

    And had 10 HR in his first 2000 pro PA. I really feel a lot of his offensive value is baked mostly in the juiced ball. The OBP is nice but I dont believe the power is real.

    Same horsefeathers in his pro day workouts. Remove opposing players and he would be a superstar!
