  1. That was easily a strike but he missed his spot so bad
  2. What about the Cardinals? 4 out of 19 used already. So 15 remaining That sucks but when we run away with the division despite this disadvantage it will make it all the more glorious
  3. Not entirely true, but mostly true. They have off before every series except 1 and they play in Oakland the day before having to come to Wrigley the next day to play in August. Meanwhile, the Cubs have already had 7 of their 19 scheduled off days this year while the Brewers have only had 3 of their 20 so far. So the Cubs have 12 more off days while the Brewers have 17. What about the Cardinals?
  4. Feeling so horsefeathering good about this team
  5. That was nasty. Thought he was gonna walk him and end up with another 10 pitches.
  6. We went through a period of kneeing each other in the nuts
  7. I haven't had any issues with it. What are you experiencing?
  8. Javy had a great year last year when he knocked out 83 XBH, one in every 7.7 PA This year he has 24, one in every 6.2
  9. Pace doesn't really think like that. He'll probably try to get into the 1st or something. I think Brian was saying that it would be amazing if the Bears first rounder they gave up was something like pick #32 and the pick they receive from OAK was #37 or so. It wouldn’t be that we gave up two first round picks for Mack, just a first and move back a couple spots. Ah thank you for the clarification. For the record I hope he does trade back. There likely won't be a huge difference in the quality of the players available.
  10. That’s a wRC+ of 3, horsefeathering THREE vs LHP this year. Going back to last June vs LHP (when the BABIP corrected +/-) he is at .241/.282/.284 .253 wOBA, 55 wRC+, .289 BABIP, 4% BB rate and 16% K rate, 60% GB rate vs LHP (124 PAs). Cool, cool stuff I used to be all for him vs LHP but the league has figured him out big time. He seriously sucks. Since the start of 2018 Schwarber has a better line vs LHP. But he will never ever lead off against them and players have to be scratched for him to even get a chance.
  11. The blackouts piss me the horsefeathers off. I like all of his suggestions.
  12. Pace doesn't really think like that. He'll probably try to get into the 1st or something.
  13. Marlins are scoring 2.76 runs a game. If there's a team to help Carl get his feet back under him, it's the Marlins. If the Marlins are looking for a pitcher to help them gain confidence, its Carl.
  14. I don't think Happ is close to ready, unfortunately. He's showing improvement of late, but it's not like he's been raking for an extended period of time. That's what I would like to see before he's called up. If he can keep up what he's shown in the last 9 games (including this one) thru the rest of May, then he will have convinced me. I have no idea, of course, what keys the Cubs are looking for. I'm just going off of overall production. I'm in agreement that I'd like Almora to spend some time in Iowa next, though, assuming he doesn't get hot. It's only his last 10 games/41 PA but Happ has been OPSing .924 over that time (.303/.439/.485) with a 7.5% K% and a 17.5% BB%. I'd rather have him up over Almora or Zagunis. Zagunis still looks like the game is too big for him. I always thought he'd at least find ways to get on base but he looks like he's gonna horsefeathers himself at the plate.
  15. I've been waiting for this oppo approach for the last few years. We are absolutely crushing outside pitches. We will have the top offense in baseball if we continue to punish those pitches.
  16. Shark gave up homers on 3 straight pitches. One of them to Dietrich, who is scorching hot. That dude struts like Griffey Jr when he knows its gone.
  17. Seems like it's very hard to pick up the release point. His back is turned to the batter for most of the time and then explodes out of obscurity with high spin. Tough to barrel.
