Come out of retirement, Ben. We need you. This story is so fucked up. I can't even imagine being in his shoes.

deGrom is totally gonna set the ERA record

Made the mistake of drafting him in fantasy a couple years ago and it was nice how he filled up the rest of the stat sheet, but infuriating to watch how freaking much he defers and especially cowers in the final quarter. And this dude is owed, what, 140-150m over the next 4 years? Yeeeeesh.

Ben Wallace was slightly worse over an entire season. That Simmons stretch is 33.8%. Wallace was 80-238 for 33.6% in 2000-2001. Holy horsefeathers thats unspeakably awful. I knew he was bad but I didn't realize he was barely over 40% for his career.

Davis' last 4 games have been really good. 3:0 BBK with a HR and a 2B

Is that a record for a 71 FTA sample size? I mean thats pretty hard to wrap the head around.

Just don't force him into the leadoff spot right away. Put him at the bottom of the order and let him build some comfort for a while. Too many mentions of him being the leadoff CF of the future.

3 weeks from now we're gonna hear how KB has been playing through a shoulder injury he suffered 6 weeks ago on an awkward swing

Wouldn't you want to see if he can help you in the pen? I mean cut Ortega or Sogard loose already and stick any player out there. At least the guy has interesting velo and stamina.

Have we ever had a worse baserunner?

Terrence Mann really eased his pain tonight

Seriously how is he still on the roster much less pitching in fairly high leverage situations? I'm confused. What is Andrew Chafin doing so well to earn Ross' unshakable trust? He doesn't miss bats, his K-BB is 10th in our pen, his SIERA and xFIP are about a run and a half or more above his ERA. Why is Brothers in the doghouse; thats the question we should be asking. Why are we seldomly using the guy who's 2nd behind Kimbrel in K-BB? What teams essentially dispose of guys who strike out 40% of the guys they face? Even his walks were mostly in clusters. He's been good. Undeserving of pitching once a week. Zach Davies was horsefeathering pathetic today and has been mostly all year. Inefficient, got barreled several times. Why did he get the 5th inning? He gave up a laser to a horrible hitting pitcher. He gave up well-struck singles to start the inning, got bailed on a pickoff, and proceeded to walk the next guy, another shitty hitter, on 5 mostly uncompetitive pitches. He didn't horsefeathering have it, yet Ross let him unravel unchecked for some reason.

What a disappointment Anthony Davis' body is
  18. We Got The Whole 9
Poor managing by Ross and Davies needs to be released

    What a rocket by Willy

That run is on Javy in my book

Davies is really trying to get his changeup back tonight. He's been saying that he hasn't had it all year but he's thrown some really good ones tonight already.

    Fuckin A Joc
  23. We Got The Whole 9
Would there be such backlash if he said Bob Gibson or Luis Tiant instead?
  24. We Got The Whole 9
IMO the Cubs are absolutely cheating with the rest of em and I couldn't be happier about it
