Why is an org that employs Addison Russell going to ever be embarrassed by a baseball game? Letting Russell go was such an easy move for the Cubs to make, for both on and off the field reasons. It was handed to them on a silver platter and they screwed it up. Now they have to wait for him to do something stupid again to justify getting rid of him. Meanwhile, his salary could have paid for a servicable relief pitcher.I don't mean to belittle your post but what have they done to even make you feel like cutting him will ever be a probability? They absolutely want Russell to be an everyday player, I'm convinced of it.
