  1. Yeah, Detroit at Arizona should be interesting that way. I was thinking San Francisco at Seattle then I realized how scary the defense would be if either team gets Clowney.
  2. The Cubs are the most profitable team in basesball if you believe that [expletive] article. Considering the spokesperson for the Cubs didn't deny it, maybe you should believe it. Even more reason to be frustrated with the ownership. [expletive] doesn't add up. I don't want to get into a lengthy debate here, but I gotta ask... Do you own a business? If not, then I can see why you think "[expletive] doesn't add up" and being frustrated with the ownership.
  3. I dont understand the rule anymore at all. Cruz made a football move. He landed and re-positioned/redirected his body and the ball to try and get the football across the plane. Johnson's natural momentum took in deeper into the end zone and to the ground. No football move. If you make a "football" move, then you have maintain possession through the entire process of said "football move" right or am I wrong?
  4. It's too bad they retired the butt fumble this week on Not Top 10...this might have given it a run for its money. They'll bring it back. They got to now.
  5. So a buddy of mine is at the Cubs game today on the rooftop (paid for from his company)... He posted a pic on Facebook and check out his view. Talk about obstructed views.
  6. So, uh, Illinois is up 14-0 right now. Vegas knows stuff. 21-0 now. Man Purdue sucks How about we just never talk about Purdue football again this year. Scratch that. Lets make that ever again instead of just this year. Just pathetic.
  7. There's a matchup in one of my leagues where Peyton is on 1 team and D Thomas/Welker is on the other team. It'll be interesting to see who wins that. 45.98 (Peyton)-43.8 (D Thomas/Welker) is the score at the moment.
  8. Be awesome if they let him out there again if Broncos gets the ball back. Let him go after #8.
  9. 7 is the record. Peyton had 6 twice. I doubt anyone had 3- 6 TD games in their career.
  10. LOL this is great.
  11. Good Justin Morneau? Eric Karros? Ryan Klesko? Me??? I'm hoping for Tim Salmon with GG D, but that's one heck of a player there.
  12. http://www.grantland.com/blog/the-triangle/post/_/id/72147/the-kings-of-the-call-up "Here's the kicker: Bogaerts was the youngest player in the Eastern League and International League this year, and is now the third-youngest player in the majors behind only Jurickson Profar and Bryce Harper. There are few more reliable markers for future stardom than a player who excels at various levels while being younger than virtually everybody else." When I read this I couldn't help but remember Kyle's comments about how Baez is #1 in OPS and #146 in age for Tennessee/Southern League What's funny is that Bogaerts still older than Harper. It just blows my mind.
  13. They really need to bring back the Sonics.
  14. Hahahahaha That best-ball analogy sounds exactly like me except for the being late part. Like this past weekend on the back nine, I had a double and triple bogey to start off then went 3 under the last 7 holes for a 38.
  15. IIRC you can have 1 or 2 guys that is under AA ball go to AFL. Baez went last year and got hurt right? I was thinking that Soler would go to AFL this year to make up for the lost time this season.

  17. Remember Kosuke Fukudome first game on Opening Day in 2008?
  18. Pretty sure he met her/knocked her up when he was a nobody at/just out of Marquette. But anyways, how does anyone get with that loon regardless of his income IIRC they were high school sweethearts and got married right after high school.
  19. Who else could they go after? Parsons? Terrence Jones? I imagine one of Asik/Lin or possibly both have to be in it to make the $$$ work. And then there's always more draft picks. I know it seems like people are saying "tank for Wiggins", but is he for real? I mean is he on the same level as LeBron/Durant or is it the hype making him better than he really is? I haven't followed high school basketball in so long so I don't really know how good Wiggins is.
  20. The only way I can think of that would REALLY bring back a haul in a Garza trade is A) someone like Candelario/Voggy/Arrieta/Schierholtz/etc is packaged with him B) the other team is granted a period to sign an extension with Garza so they got him for more than this year and actually got it done C) a GM got annihilated one night, drunk-dialed Theo/Hoyer, and offer a ridic package
  21. Ehh... I wasn't as tall, but I was already over 200 lbs then. I was 6' 215 by that age. It reminds me of my buddy who was about the same size as Eloy at that age, but still the same size now 12 years later.
  22. Also... why are people are all saying this "if we can't get a good deal trading him, then just extend him" crap? Yep it's that easy folks and let just give Garza whatever he wants. Umm... if they haven't extended him by now, then it's not going to happen. It's not like Cubs haven't tried to extend him. As far as Garza goes, I'm in the David/Kyle boat where I'll take a top 100 (somewhere in the 40-75 range and would jump into the 5th spot of the prospect list behind Almora/Baez/Bryant/Soler) and another who is just on the outside of the top 100 (comparable to AA/Candelario who btw are anywhere from 5-8 in our top 10 prospect list right now). So you are getting 2 top 10 prospects in a top 10, maybe top 5, minor league system for a rental SP (even for someone as good as Garza) which is pretty darn good IMO. I'll take that over a comp pick.
  23. had TJS last year. Seriously, wouldn't you want more for Garza than Drabek and Nolin? I've never been high on Drabek at all. Nolin looks decent but the risk with Drabek is enough to offset any overall upside to me. "Hearing now that the Jays have intensified their pursuit of Matt Garza and while I'm not sure about the headliner, it appears RHP Kyle Drabek and LHP Sean Nolin might be part of the equation." I took this as Drabek/Nolin are both in it or one of them as the #2/#3 guy of the package with a headliner. I don't think it's just Drabek/Nolin for Garza. At least that's how I'm reading it. Then again... that headliner better be like Aaron Sanchez or someone just as good.
  24. How is Orioles a very good fit considering what Garza should bring back? It would means that one of Bundy/Gausman is def coming back (since it says including 2 top prospects) unless this guy meaning of "top prospect" is a lot different than mine.
