  1. While I understand wanting a speedy slot guy I think 2nd or 3rd round would be a pretty big waste in resources on that unless the guy is just a clear BPA. The Johnny Knoxes and Eddie Royals of the world go in the 4-5 round and while they will never be number ones can be really effective with a Brandon Marshall taking away attention (not to mention a second Brandon Marshall). FA scrap heap could probably find a guy to fill that role too. Hopefully like Royal and Knox a guy like that will be a kick returner too so that we can cut ties with Hester. Like who in the FA would you target??? http://www.spotrac.com/free-agents/nfl/wide-receiver/ The WR is gonna have to come from the draft IMO and it wouldn't shock me if Bears went with someone like Marqise Lee or even a TE in the 1st. Although I think they need to go DL or possibly CB/S and somehow get De'Anthony Thomas in the 2nd. Getting Thomas means that you can let Hester go and cut Bush at the same time then put him in the Sproles/Vereen role.
  2. They're more consistent on calls from week to week, but they screw up just as bad and almost as often in critical situation as those replacement refs last year. It is time for the NFL to do something about it. Need to hold them accountable in some way. I think this year has the most I've seen in a single season where they would throw a flag on a play and end up picking it up/saying there's no penalty. It's unreal. How many refs are there on the field right now? Do they need to add 1-2 more to have more eyes on the play? I'm not exactly sure what the next step would be.
  3. You could have hired a 3-4 D guy, let 1/2 the defense go in the offseason and we wouldn't be any worse on that side if the ball. Yea, losing 15 d-linemen to injuries hurt, but holy Christ our safeties play out of position a lot Burn it down and start over This is the offseason to do it if they wanna go that route. I think 7 of 11 defensive starters are FAs this offseason. Guys who are still here (Peppers if he isn't cut/Briggs/Paea) can probably switch to a 3-4 pretty easily I imagine?
  4. I'm really glad that my expectation of Purdue this year was so low that I'm not even shocked by this.
  5. And the Bears gotta suck the same year they do.
  6. Well... they have to win their last 4 to have a chance now.
  7. I guess to make the Vikings use their last TO?
  8. If this game somehow ends up as a tie, Are the Vikings the only team in history to have to have 2 ties in a season?
  9. Shea sucks... dude just ran downfield with Greene and didn't even bother trying to block the ONE guy in front.
  10. I know Bowman isn't that good or anything, but at least he just go for the tackle and nothing else.
  11. Man... Peppers is on fire lately and has been everywhere today.
  12. Why is gaining weight in quotes? http://i702.photobucket.com/albums/ww29/habesjn/FatAlshon.png Because that was basically the reason why he fell down that far in the draft. Had he not gain weight, he probably would've challenged Michael Floyd as the 1st WR taken.
  13. Thank you Jeffery for "gaining weight" your junior year and fell to the Bears in the 2nd round. EDIT: wrong year
  14. Whoa... Bush got more than 2 yards on a run. Impressive.
  15. Does not bode well for my fantasy football team considering I already lost David Wilson, Julio Jones, Randall Cobb, Mike James, Brian Cushing, Ahmad Bradshaw, and now possibly Rodgers. Sad part... I'm in 3rd right now and could be in 2nd with a win this week or still be in 3rd with a loss. Speaking of fantasy football... pick 1 of these 3 RBs to start this week: Lamar Miller vs Jets (no more Daniel Thomas), Donald Brown vs Titans (now the starter), or Jonathan Stewart (D Will is out and Tolbert is banged up) I have Miller in right now because he has NOBODY taking his touches now.
  16. Lawrie went .353/.415/.661 at an age where Bryant was still pickin goobers in college. Things don't always work out how you plan. What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Except for herpes. That [expletive]'ll come back with you.
  17. 2015, not 2014. Purdue is playing there next year. Oh crap, I misread the tweet. You're right. I'm trying to convince my wife to go to Hawaii. She was on board until she heard the word basketball. You don't go to Hawaii to watch basketball. Haha
  18. Why? Was this year his last year of his contract? I guess Kobe doesn't care about winning another title then. EDIT: Well I guess he is getting a pay cut here from making like 30 mil this year after looking up his contract. Holy crap.
  19. Moore (72.9 career) JJ (74.3) Hummel (84.1 although 1 of those years was in '12) Basically... Those 3 shot the most in those years and kept the FT% up to the low 70s as a team.
  20. Is Blue Jays crazy enough to offer Lawrie for Shark?
  21. Looks like Matt Flynn is in for the Packers?
