  1. Wonder if we can buy low on Ackley? I agree TT. I was hoping Seattle would get in the mix for either Castro or Shark.
  2. We might as well just tank and get the best possible pick now. I thought the past couple years were bad with injuries, but this year is just unreal. About the only positive thing is Cutler really can't be asking for the moon in the offseason. That being said, I would rather just offer him a non-exclusive franchise tag now (1 yr 12.5 mil I believe... it's the lesser between 120% of last years salary or top 5 avg at that position) and see what the market value will be for him. If a team wants to overpay for him, don't match it and gain 2- 1st round picks.
  3. I'll use walterfootball (not the greatest mock draft, but does anyone else knows a good mock draft website?) to show you where he has the QBs going in the 1st and what pick. It's a long way away and anything can happen, but it's just an idea on who the Bears could be looking at in the 1st IF they decided to go that route. Teddy Bridgewater (1st- Jags) Brett Hundley (3rd- Vikings) Johnny Manziel (13th- Eagles) Tajh Boyd (14th- Browns) Derek Carr (17th- Cardinals) Bears at 19th- got Tommy Jernigan Then 2nd/3rd round has Zach Mettenberger (34th- Bucs) Stephen Morris (71st- Texans) AJ McCarron (73rd- Rams) Bears taking Aaron Murray with the 83rd pick Logan Thomas (93rd- 49ers) Now Marcus Mariota could declare for the draft and probably will be the 2nd QB selected after Bridgewater and drop everyone down the list. I think Mariota will stay another year. If you use Charlie's mock draft there, then it's just Bridgewater/Mariota/Hundley/Manziel being picked before the Bears.
  4. Awesome. Have fun. I would be out tailgating tomorrow, but it's my best friend's bachelor party weekend.
  5. Kinda weak that you only got to first, maybe an aggressive turn toward second, with what would ultimately wind up being a porn star bro. Yeah I know. She kinda freaked out a little (like 5-10 mins into it), said she just started seeing someone, and took off. I felt like Hirshfelder from Dazed and Confused. "What the hell are we doing? I was getting there. Man I had my hand up her shirt." I've also "met" Valerie Kay (spring break 2007 in Miami). I do have a wild story about when I went to LA to visit my cousin in 2005, being at a nightclub in the VIP one night, and Eva Angelina plus others were at the table to next to ours. Can't tell it since I have to keep it PG. I remember back in high school when WCW was at Pamama City Beach for Spring Break (I'm guessing this was either '98 or '99) and how EVERY girl would be all over Scott Steiner and Buff Bagwell every day at the pool. There's a few others.
  6. I made out with Rachel Marie Oberlin (you guys might know her as Bree Olson) once when I visited my cousin back in high school.
  7. I think Voggy is a year away from being an extremely valuable trade piece to an AL team.
  8. Outside of Zimmer/Ventura... who would be considered as "high end pitching prospects" in the Royals system? I imagine Almonte could be considered as one? Maybe Selman, but I wouldn't consider him as high end. So lets go with this... Shark/Barney/Scheirholtz for Cain/Herrera/Ventura/Zimmer What do you guys think? that's kind of a no-brainer, but KC swapping Zimmer for Almonte seems a much likelier scenario I can see that, but I'm not sure I would back off on the Zimmer/Ventura combo. Screw it. Lets take Cain out and somehow get Starling/Herrera/Ventura/Zimmer. LOL

  10. I think we're looking at the franchise tag, with a short-term offer on the table that Cutler won't take until after the draft shakes out. If they get their first choice, they will let him walk. If they settle on their second or third choice, they will keep doing the franchise tag thing and try and pressure him into an accepting what is his last best chance at a big deal that is well below the standard. If Bears are smart, they would do a non-exclusive franchise tag on Cutler (1 yr/12.44 mil at most). See what teams would offer and if someone is willing to pay a lot, refuse the offer sheet and gain 2- 1st round picks as compensation. I imagine some teams will take the risk and give an offer sheet to Cutler. Because of possibly losing 2- 1st round picks, teams might not pay market value so Bears can match at a good price.
  11. I'm ok with a QB in the 4th. I just put a QB there because this is the year they need to draft one and groom him if they re-sign Cutler of draft one in the 1st if they don't. According to this... Bears have $79 mil towards 28 players so a little over $40 mil for 23 players. http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/chicago-bears/cap-hit/2014/ They have the 2nd lowest cap hit for next season. http://www.spotrac.com/cap-tracker/nfl/2014/ Cutting Peppers would give them about $10 mil in cap space so a possible $50 mil for 24 players to sign.
  12. I think this offseason should be about the defense IMO. It's only because I'm not seeing the offensive pieces in FA that Bears would go after hardcore that's a big need for them. Bears got $$$ to spend (and can get more by cutting Peppers/Bush for example) and could go after a couple good young defensive players (Michael Bennett/Michael Johnson/Greg Hardy at DE, Alterraun Verner at CB, and Jarius Byrd/TJ Ward at S for example). I think Bears can sign 2 of those types and still have room for Cutler pretty easily. I would re-sign Cutler to a 3-4 year deal, Slauson to keep the OL together on the offensive side. Then my ideal draft would be a defensive player (DT or CB most likely) in the 1st (assuming Bears are picking no better than 18th), QB to groom in the 2nd, then C, burner/slot WR, RB, OL, DL in round 3-7 in no particular order. This is assuming Cutler comes back and does as well as he has so far this year.
  13. Say Martin did that and punch Incognito in the face. Guys like Incognito... the next day would go up to Martin and be like "Man, you hit like a girl" or something along that line. Or worse, Incognito fights back as most bullies would. Do people really think that if you stand for yourself would stop everything? Esp since it's been going on for at least since Martin got with the team. I can see it maybe if you stood up RIGHT FROM THE START or if you REALLY beat the crap out of someone, but then you're the one in trouble most likely and the "bully" still wins. Maybe Martin did try to stand up, but it didn't work. What's even worse is it seems like NOBODY stood up for Martin this entire time. That's the part that gets to me the most. If some people won't trust Martin after this ordeal cuz he speaked out, how do you think Martin feels if nobody stood up for him or thought it's just part of hazing/ritual/didn't care/whatever? I can guaranteed you that he doesn't trust many (if any) in that Dolphins locker room right now.
  14. I'm pretty sure it's not a broken collar bone. If Rodgers did, we would've seen him with ice on his collar bone and his left arm in a sling because you want to relieve the pain by not moving that arm.
  15. The only QBs I can think of with BROKEN collarbones are Jason Campbell (2011), Tony Romo (2010), and Anthony Boone (from Duke this year). Pretty sure both Campbell and Romo missed the rest of their season and Boone is most likely although I think all 3 of them are on their throwing shoulder.
  16. It's a good thing it's not the throwing shoulder, but the question will be "Can he take a hit/sack when he comes back and not re-injure it or make it worse?" It's a tough injury to come back from. This is assuming it's a broken or fractured collarbone.
  17. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/201011280chi.htm If you go by QB rating, this is Cutler's best game as a Bears. 146.2 QB rating
  18. Why are we running up the gut with Forte?
  19. I root for both Purdue (born/raised 40 mins away, bachelor degree, now living there) and Arkansas (bachelor degree in Architecture after I went to Purdue). I pay attention to Purdue more since I live like 2 miles from campus, but if I live somewhere else, it would probably be Arkansas then Purdue. Might be because I always had an interest in Arkansas ever since the Corliss Williamson days and knew they had an Architecture program while Purdue didn't.
  20. Shea is the Bear next to Cohen. Looks like its Peppers or Wooten at the LOS. So the DL isn't getting "blocked all the way down field" if he's at the LOS. It just looks like when RG3 is 8 yards behind.
  21. I am totally on board with Watkins in the draft... assuming that like 90% of that cap space Bears will have this offseason (plus cutting Peppers), goes toward the D. The other 10% goes to re-signing Cutler.
  22. I have Bradford, Cutler, Cobb, and Wayne. Try David Wilson (suck ass anyway before getting hurt), Julio Jones, Randall Cobb, and Shane Vereen.... and I will be 6-1 in that league. Not to mention I lost Mayo and Cushing on the IDP side.
  23. Hello? Sex offender hotline? I have something to report. Its called recruiting. I hope you meant scouting. Nope. Its recruiting. Its like a HS player or a free agent. Not available now but when they become available, you want them to already have an idea of what team they want to join when able to legally do so. Technically she's legal/available/etc. (she's 17) in some states, but really... "soon to be hot"??? Maybe she's so young that I can't think of her in that way or the fact that she reminds me of Kimora Lee Simmons, but each to their own. Plus... her name is Cymphonique. That's all you need to know.
  24. 3x40 seconds=2 minutes. They'll be lucky to see a punt Only 2 plays since it's 2nd down and clock stopped so they should see a punt.
