  1. Let's talk about RRH though, he has been great so far this half.
  2. Didn't play the ball or give the receiver a chance. Total crap. Didn't even look for the ball either.
  3. How many more years we have Hicks? Bears should extend another 2-3 years.
  4. Wow... why did Sims go inside instead of towards the sidelines? He might've got the 1st.
  5. So I've never really watched Allen Robinson play (with Jags or PSU), but is it fair to say he's a prime Brandon Marshall or does he got more downfield game like Jeffery?
  6. Pittsburgh would be letting him walk for nothing if they did that. His agent has probably already explained to him that there is even less than a slight chance of that. They lose him for nothing if he comes back week 11 and finishes out the season too. Can they trade him and he's able to sign a multi-year deal (similar to Mack)? Just not sure if that's possible during the season, but thought about this earlier today.
  7. I wonder if Cubs will offer something similar to Lackey's 2 yr deal, but more like 18-20 mil/yr instead of 16 that Lackey got after using the buyout.
  8. Pitches for the RPs tonight Kintzler 4 De La Rosa 5 Cishek 10 Chávez 9 You have to think they'll still be available for tomorrow?
  9. Wait till you see the strikeout pitch. It probably won't even show up on gameday.
  10. I heard this from a buddy of mine that Joey Gallo hasn't made a sacrifice (bunt/hit or fly) yet in his career.
  11. Javy is a genius. He knew how crappy his teammates hit when there's a man on 3rd with less than 2 out. So he made sure they would get him out and Bote would capitalize next at bat. Yeah... I'm sticking with that.
  12. I went to a game a few years ago (right before they got good) and it was a really enjoyable experience. Great place to watch a baseball game. Yep, I'll 2nd that it's a great place to watch a game. When I lived in Arkansas ('08-'12), I would go up for 2-3 games every year and I've never had a bad experience there. I saw the Cubs there in '10 (maybe '11) and had front row seat in the OF. So much fun.
  13. If you are tied with the Royals in the middle innings, you are pretty much losing. Touche
  14. After reading everything in here, I figured Cubs were down 3-1 or something. Checked the boxscore and it's tied 1-1. Sounds about right.
  15. Cartini? And of course Baez got even more gold necklaces than Strop.
  16. Smith's agent is trying to get a clause out of the contract. Basically it's about the new hitting/leading with helmet rule. Supposedly, if a player gets suspended with this new rule (I'm going to assume that you got to do it multiple times to get a lengthy suspension), the team can void your contract. Smith is trying to get his deal to be guaranteed/protected from that. I know Gurley and like 2 others have what Smith want so it's not like he's setting a new precedent for future players. I saw an article on this a couple days ago because I was wondering what was taking so long. Edit: Bears can void some of the guaranteed money if you get suspended with the new lowering helmet rule, not their contract like I stated above. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000942843/article/roquan-smith-deal-holdup-related-to-new-helmet-rule
  17. Thought about him, but iirc, he was considered a top 50 prospect pre-2001 season by someone.
  18. That rule is dumb imo. I want to see as many pitches and as many dongs as possible.
  19. Harper better beat Muncy. That's the only thing that matters now.
  20. 1st HR shouldn't have counted for Muncy. Ump was telling the pitcher to hold off still
  21. Red Sox leads MLB in runs per game with 5.25. From June 7th to 16th (10 games), they scored 29 runs. Astros from April 6th to 16th scored 27 with an 8 and 5 run game in that stretch. Indians scored 29 from April 1st to 11th. Yankees had a 32 run stretch from June 6th to 17th. Cubs do have a 24, 27, and 29 runs 10 game stretch already. So yes, it is a little Jeckyl and Hyde compared to the 4 teams above. Despite all that, Cubs are 1st in NL and tied for 4th in MLB in runs per game. They're like 15 games over .500. Could they be better by being more consistent at scoring runs? Sure, but it's baseball. Stretches like this IS going to happen.
