  1. So not only he hit the uprights 5 times this season, not 1 of them got through. What's the horsefeathering odds on that? Of course he kick right down the middle on the first try. Why the hell can't you do the exact same kick?
  2. Still can get a drive for a game winning FG. It's a matter how close do we need to get in order to trust Parkey?
  3. The clock is still running, but I was thinking the same.
  4. Yeah he was. Really thought Mitch was going to throw to him in the corner when he started going full out.
  5. Finally stopped a 3rd and long or it seems like that was the first.
  6. Now that's the right call Mitch.
  7. I like how he said no clear recovery in a way like if the Eagles or Bears picked it up, they would've called a fumble instead which means it's a catch in the first place and ball should be on the spot of the fumble for the Bears. You can just see that he didn't want to be the first ref to call that. So weird.
  8. I get it now. Bears D are just baiting Foles.
  9. Sounds like McManis got hurt covering which got Tate open
  10. Gotta love Michael Bennett. You know he's good for 1 unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.
  11. Well the refs gave him about 2 yards too. I think he got the 1st, but it couldn't been more than a football length.
  12. Not a TD, but what a catch!
  13. This is how I feel as well. So glad I bought Baez WS jersey beginning of 2017 season so it won't bother me about buying another Cub related merch for a long time. Now to the bold part. Is there any blowback to the Cubs from Boras in this situation? Like if Cubs just outright release him and lets say Russell can't find a team to sign him all offseason, would Boras throw up his arms and start talking to MLBPA about filing a grievance or whatever? Boras could be like, "There's no video proof, convicted/arrest, etc and all we're relying on are the words of a couple womens and that the Cubs should still be paying him this season." It's a shitty look for Boras, but I can see him sticking up to his client in that way. Surely Theo/Cubs aren't worried that this could happen right? I'm just trying to think of another option on why Cubs have kept Russell so far that haven't been talked about. I don't think this has been brought up in this thread yet.
  14. 01010010 01110101 01101100 01100101 00100000 01110110 are you the porn star blowie at the christmas party guy? bree olsen iirc? i honestly have no clue what kind of thread that story would've been posted in but it just popped in my head lmao Yep and proud of it!
  15. The Rule 5 Draft. It's tomorrow. no i asked what rule v is 01010010 01110101 01101100 01100101 00100000 01110110
  16. People been posting this guy in the Harper thread, but he got other Cubs related info too.. https://mobile.twitter.com/WTraymor/status/1072951583040827392 https://mobile.twitter.com/WTraymor/status/1072951583040827392 https://mobile.twitter.com/WTraymor/status/1072928692848992259 https://mobile.twitter.com/WTraymor/status/1072930711794040832 Also said Cubs offered Chatwood to 7 teams. We'll see if it's anything remotely legit here.
  17. Brantley isn't really a CF anymore. If we're looking for a CF addition, I'd go Pollock. Heyward/Happ/Almora can play CF with Brantley in RF. Could go Schwarber/Heyward or Happ/ Brantley left to right vs RHP and Happ or Bote or Bryant/Almora/Zobrist or Heyward left to right vs LHP Brantley is just a LF the past couple years IIRC. I don't think he ever played RF.
  18. This hypothetical doesn't account for the fact that even when the offense was good, there was extreme variability from game to game. Average runs per game are misleading when the standard deviation is massive. I haven't bothered to run the numbers, but the variability has got to be far bigger than normal. The sheer volume of runs the team scored on the days the the offense was on, masks overall problems with the offense when looking backward. I’d really like to see these numbers actually since it’s been a topic we often discuss and find out if the offense is really all that volatile and varies that much compared to other teams. I feel like on surface every teams fans thinks their offense isn’t “consistent” enough. The numbers would be very interesting to see if that’s actually the case if someone wants to take the time to run them, because I’m not aware of a site or stat that tracks it. My gut feeling is we don’t vary all that differently from other teams and most teams don’t just score 3-4 runs a game all that much more consistently than us (if we’re assuming around there is the magical being consistent number) most teams probably cluster around 2 or less and 5 or more. This was my post on July 7th. Those 4 teams 10 game stretch was their lowest up to that point. So Cubs had 3 stretches worse than the Yankees and that's just up to July 7th. That's also comparing to the elite teams and not against an average team.
  19. Watch Cubs sign him and he put up a '06 Pierre type line
  20. I feel like for the longest time there was just Janikowski, but then Prater got there and suddenly everyone except Parkey could do it. It's the football equivalent of how all relievers throw at least 95 mph now. Fixed
  21. What was the point of that timeout? Was the defense call not correct or something?
  22. As far as releasing the scum bag, sure. But pretty sure they had knowledge of the incident way before today. They knew about in August as did the NFL, which is something they should be held accountable for. Of course, I would have a difficult time believing that the Cubs found out via her blog post. The Chiefs ultimate conclusion was a greater damnation than the Cubs, despite their efforts to conceal it. Chiefs/NFL knew about Hunt since February when it happened. NFL have been saying that they tried multiple times to get the video, but hotel policy only give those to law enforcement and Cleveland PD wouldn't give NFL a copy of it. Since they didn't have video proof, Hunt wasn't suspended/fine/etc. Yet, TMZ can get a copy of the video? Yyyeeeeaaaahhhh ok Roger...
  23. No week 12 thread yet, but wow. The refs totally missed the hit right at the helmet of Jordan Reed at the end of the game. I don't know how the flag wasn't thrown there.
  24. Let's go for 100 pts. When the last time that happened?
