  1. I think the implication was that Geo was informed that he had failed a test long before it was made public oh, i didn't hear that. still though, i doubt geo was stressing over it. nobody should care I care, the Cubs care, Geo cares, Geo's family cares, MLB cares, etc. He messed up. Quit glossing it over. people pretend they care because it's pc. really nobody cares. dont stallworth just killed a dude driving drunk and somehow only got a month in jail.... but geo smoked WEED p.s. how do you know that geo and his family care so much? for all you know he could have been smoking with his family.
  2. why wouldn't we be? it's weed. big deal. it's no worse than a player drinking Except that they drug test for weed, duh. It's like, you know, illegal and stuff. the only way you could get into legal trouble with weed is if you're really, really dumb. Good to know you're the master of all things pot. And yea, I guess that means the thousands upon thousands of people that get caught are "really, really dumb". soto just tested positive for weed, and is he in any sort of legal trouble at all? no. even if you get caught with personal amounts, the cop will rarely ever actually arrest the person. the people who get in actual trouble with weed are people who sell and stuff like that. really alcohol is wayyyyy worse than weed, yet it's accepted while smoking is "irresponsible" because of some stupid law that will never really impact your life anyways

  5. Seriously, NBA players dont seem to have much trouble running up and down the court, and pretty sure most of that league smokes weed. exactly. the vast majority of nba players smoke. really it shouldn't effect you unless you're smoking multiple times a day, which i doubt geo has been doing
  6. the guy is 26 years old. chances are he didn't just discover pot during the offseason. True, but he can afford it now. ..have you ever bought weed before? no dude, that's ILLEGAL. grow up man, grow up.
  7. lol @ len today during the game talking about how "it must feel like the weight of the world has been lifted off geo's shoulders". yeah len, i'm sure he was kept up at nights thinking about that night that he smoked that joint. it must have haunted him.
  8. i like the way hoff is being pumped up now. the "most hr/ab on the team" thing is nice.
  9. this isn't 2nd grade, milton. what a complex on this dude
  10. hey at least he plays better defense than dunn... or something
  11. my friend is friends with geo and she said all he does is sit on the couch and watch tv and his face is like melting and stuff cuz all he does is smoke pot
  12. why wouldn't we be? it's weed. big deal. it's no worse than a player drinking
  13. vitale informing us that you cant win with 3 pg. thanks, dick and stfu stuart scott.
  14. By default, that would have to mean that some guys perform better. but not that the better peformance is due to them being a special kind of player or something like that. i believe a player can become worse if he's in his head too much or can't handle the pressure. i'm not even necessarily talking about a specific player. it could just be a team in a really bad slump If some pitchers get worse in clutch situations, and some batters don't, then those batters would by default have the appearance of clutch hitting, and it would show up in statistical analysis. you're really making this more complicated than it really is. all i'm saying is that pressure can negatively effect hitters at times. the fact that the cubs have been so atrocious with risp this season is partly luck, yeah. but you cant say that part of it isn't that they're pressing (or whatever you want to call it) it's kind of like the people who keep saying "the cubs just got cold at the wrong time the past 2 seasons" and stuff like that, when it's clear that they flat out choked. they couldn't handle the moment. it was obvious. they crumbled under the pressure.
  15. wow that sounds like the most obnoxious tattoo ever
  16. kind of a dick move there
  17. apparently, he's the bulls' GM. i had no idea. What happened to Pax? How did I miss this?

  20. stern is creeping me out
  21. The problem isnt so much that it could have been avoided, its that it could be rectified sooner than later, but Hendry is being an idiot about it. The Indians are asking a ton for DeRosa right now because it's so early
  22. 7 HR and 22 RBI in 131 at bats is crappy? Its not spectacular but it's better than most other Cubs. you're going by home runs and rbi? he had like a .750 OPS when i posted that. so yeah, for a corner outfielder/1b, that's crappy
  23. what's better than one tyrus? 3 tyruses
