    The player they get doesn't have to match Hendry's salary. Given the state of the Trib and also of the Cubs team, I wouldn't be surprised if Hendry was encouraged to drop some payroll if at all possible. I can't really think of many more players that have both value and a tradable contract on the Cubs. you still haven't answered the question. where are we going to put a bat? 2B is the only place we can really upgrade, and like i said, i don't see any potentially avilable 2B that would be worth giving up our best starting pitcher (this season) for. people keep talking aobut wanting to get a bat, but they never say where he's going to play. we're locked in at every position but second base, shortstop, and catcher..... and we're not going to find upgrades at shortstop or catcher.

    like i said, where are you going to put a hitter that makes that much? you can only puth im at 2b, and i can't think of any potentially avilable second baseman that are worth trading lilly for it would be just like hendry to dump salary with one of the players who actually has a good contract though

    and relievers Not really. The bullpen has been very good lately. The Cubs need bats. the bullpen still is a big concern, especially considering we're now relying on guzman staying healthy and marmol has been a mess but like i said, where are we going to upgrade? the only position we could upgrade permanently is second base. even if we did upgrade, the best we'd probably be able to get is a mark derosa type, not an impact guy like chase utley. the offense is going to rely on the guys we currently have. they have to hit or we're screwed. so yeah, i don't see the problem with going after a good reliever since it seems highly unlikely that we're going to be making a trade for an impact bat. there's just nowhere to put it

    LOL. The only thing he does that I don't like is complain, and that's something that every single NBA player does. Oh you didnt like his "Im going to scream at you and get in your face like im actually going to do something about it". Of course he's not going to do anything about it. He doesn't want to get suspended. Nine out of 10 players would do the same exact thing after getting cheapshotted like that. Cheapshotted like that? He was about to dunk the ball when it was obvious the Magic were not going to foul. All Petrius did was shoved him a little. Was it cheap? Sure. Was it cheap enough to act like a d-bag like he did about it? Not really. i hate gasol but i thought it was a real bitch move by pietrus.
