  1. Thus ended the "Patient Cubbies Era". Signal the birth of "Neo-Dustianism" aka "being aggressive" do you know what you are talking about? Von Joshua is very much about patience at the plate. so you're saying nothing changes? .......great I hold my original assessment. I don't care what Joshua teaches, he can't be nearly as effective at promoting patience as Perry has been his whole career. I'm not buying what your selling, and even if you're right, there's no improvement. lol you're saying things just to say things. just admit you shouldn't have talked about something you know nothing about
  2. Oops. LOL yeah, on their 47th prediction in the last 2 years, one finally was right. now let's buy into 46 more bogus rumors before the 47th is right again
  3. i cant believe people are actually still paying attention to that site
  4. nobody hyped him that much
  5. that's kind of silly. i'm ot a lou fan at all, but let's be honest. the manager can only control so much. lou is certainly making things worse, but ultimately it's up to the hitters to hit. he can do everything to help them, but if they suck, they suck. right now there isn't really anything he can do to get these guys hitting. it's up to the players. Lou is the mouthpiece for the team. When he sounds confused and perplexed it doesn't give fans (and possibly management and/or players) confidence that he's the right guy to lead the team. Now, will giving us some BS answer about how he is working with the players everyday, etc etc make the team play better? No probably not...its a rather trivial annoyance. But its something that definitely bothers me about his managing style. so you're upset that he's being honest? In a way yes. If the leader of your team doesn't know what to do and doesn't seem to know if our problems will be fixed, how does that reflect on the team, who is obviously pressing? Now obviously we have no idea what goes on beyond closed doors, and I'm sure Lou isn't sitting there telling his players he has no confidence in them, but they definitely do hear what Lou says to the media too. i dunno, it's at the point where there's nothing lou can say. he's been saying "they have to start htiting, and i bleieve they will" for weeks now.
  6. Did anyone ever say that Fukudome is as good as Pujols? His ceiling was Bobby Abreu at best. I dont think anyone ever compared him to Pujols, even when he first came over. lol, you are seriously the worst at picking up sarcasm ever. i even added the "good luck winning with a .900 ops center fielder" line just to make sure people understood i was being sarcastic, even though it shouldnt have been necessary. edit: also i dont get the abreau comparison. in his price abrea was ridiculous, way more than fukudome ever could have been..... and new abreu sucks, so fukudome's ceiling is higher than that

  8. sucks for the cards

  10. wow, i knew fuku had been struggling, but i didn't realize how far his numbers have fallen. i'm gonna hold off for now because he was due for a slump, but f this goes on much longer he's going to start coming close to last year's overall numbers.
  11. he'll probably make some bs excuse like when he tried to justify the deroa trade a few weeks ago hendry probably pretends that the aramis injury is the only reason we suck, when really his awful moves would have had this team sucking even if aramis never got hurt but at least we're more left handed for the playoffs we'll never sniff
  12. i like how you call him "last year's rookie of the year" to imply that he's good, when really he sucks
  13. to all of those people who laughed at me when i said fukudome wasnt as good as pujols.... who is laughing now?!?!? this guy is nothing more than a .900 OPS center fielder. good luck winning with that.
  14. yeah i don't understand why anybody would want to trade lilly either. the idea is to get rid of bad contracts, not good ones. lilly has been great since he joined the cubs and has another year left after this.
  15. no but seriously, this is actually good news... at least in terms of this season. if the brewers or cards had gotten him they'd be looking pretty tough
  16. i think teams would be willing to take on lilly's contract in a heartbeat
  17. i almost wouldn't hate trading harden if hendry actually got something decent for him.
  18. suck it, kevin towers
  19. good to see tt heating back up these last 5 games after going through a pretty brutal slump and a walk for vitters tonight
  20. cyno just killed himself
  21. detroit fans drowning out the trophy celebrations with boos...... real nice
  22. he's seriously going to kill himself tonight
