Using code straight from the fever swamps is more than enough reason to ridicule a fool as far as I'm concerned. I won't apologize for it, and the [expletive] can come back for more if he wants.
Not even remotely close to what I said. Takes some mental gymnastics to come remotely close to that conclusion. But what ever justifies your outrage at Rizzo... I don't have any outrage at Rizzo, just at your stupid takes. So yeah, go get bent.
Super thirsty for a Cubs pitching prospect to actually come up & have an impact, I presume. He's not very big and has like 1 1/2 mlb-level pitches. I can't think of any other reason, but I have to admit my anti-pitching prospect bias.
They keep hacking & Corbin is never in the zone, at least tonight. Hahahahaha, Almora had a patient 1st AB, couldn't get up there fast enough the 2nd AB to hack first pitch
The 2nd half offensive spiral continues. I agree the brutal schedule has played a big role in that, but not sure how a single day off next Thursday is gonna ameliorate things. Maybe induce ~18 hour medical comas in all the regulars to ensure deep, deep sleep?
I was waaay to casual in my assessment of what Yelich is as a player. I viewed him as a nice on-base type guy w/ some OF versatility, but sure as hell had zero clue he could be a masher as he's been the 2nd half. I'm embarrassed that I dismissed him as something that could be replicated by what we had in-house.
I think Almora would be just fine as a cheap bench player. The problem is he gets too many starts & inexplicably hits too high in the order when he does. It's a manager issue for me. Not saying I'd shed a tear if he was moved, to be clear.
