It's not like the Nationals' ridiculous lowball offer was some closely guarded secret. Fans are dumb. Owners are winning/have won the labor propaganda battle, I think. "Greedy, spoiled players" is the prevailing attitude; owners are the risk-taking, swashbuckling entrepreneurs laying it all on the line to create jobs in this fever dream.

He was already fired, but he keeps on showing up at the park. Ricketts will never turn down labor he's already paid for, as tight as things are for the Cubs budget-wise. -
