  1. Hello Z, remember me? It's your good buddy the strike zone...how 'bout you come to visit me more often early in counts so you aren't sitting w/ 70 pitches after 3 innings, mmm'kay?
  2. Well, he's probably going somewhere. Admittedly it's more likely he goes to an AL team, but now we're looking for an inexpensive RF that hits lefties well for both OBP and power playing for a non-contender who also is not in Hendry's doghouse. LOL...Yeah, we're gonna keep adding qualifiers until we come full circle & end up w/ Murton back in a platoon...
  3. ARod won't be taking an effective annual pay cut to play for anyone, so 6/120 wouldn't get it done, IMO... With that being said, I agree: I'd take the everyday impact player pretty much every time.
  4. Apparently the genius could see into the future & knew that Pujols would've merely hit a sharp single right at LF so only one run would score, next batter is out, go to extra innings w/ All Star players out of position, thus giving rise to a defensive gaffe that ultimately would've caused the NL to lose anyway. TLR merely chose to end the game on schedule...
  5. Because no team could use a .359/.410 hitter with a little pop, a lot of speed. great defense, and a good arm who sells a ton of merchandise and opens up a huge potential fan base? He may be expensive....but I'll take Ichiro at that # and not think twice about it....Rickey Henderson averaged a .400+ OBP for another 10 years past Ichiro's current age...There's no real reason to believe that Ichiro won't put up a .320 average with a .375+ OBP steal 30+ Bases and score 110 runs for the next 5 years...those are numbers that would make him very valuable to just about any team 20M valuable? Well, to be fair, 20M isn't what it used to be...
  6. WTF??? Bases juiced, & TLR leaves it up to Rowand when Pujols is available... What a pud.
  7. [swallows huge grain of salt] Joe Morgan was on the Dan Patrick Show, and he stated that he "knows" ARod wants to go back to SS, b/c "SS & CF are marquee positions, and once a player is there, they never truly want to play another position." FWIW, Morgan also said ARod will go to Anaheim if he opts out. He also said that scuttlebutt amongst the other AllStar players is that ARod will indeed opt out. [regurgitates said grain of salt]
  8. Sad............but true. I'd rather DLee took this whole time off & get some rest. He just looks tired to me lately; or at least his weak flyballs & grounders make that appear to be the case.
  9. Given the hitters' paradise that is the PCL, I am personally not buying into Ronny's numbers at Iowa. With that said, he surely can't be worse than Izzy production wise... Just my 2 cents..
