    more drugs plz. I'm telling you, dude. Once these hard hit balls start finding the gaps, were gonna get the luck back on our side. The Cubs are actually hitting balls hard? That's amazing.

    yep, I'll definitely be watching. And yes, it will be more entertaining because the Bulls have a chance at winning something...something the Cubs don't have a chance at. I always forget about the Bulls fans. BTW, who are the two guys in your sig? I'm assuming the one on the left is LaMarcus Aldredge but I don't know who the other guy is.

    The NBA Draft Lottery will also be on at 430. Even that is probably more entertaining then the Cubs game.

    I agree. I'll have USA soccer on ESPN 2 and the Cubs on MLB.TV. USA I can't wait for the World Cup to start.

    What do you mean by "manufacture runs?" I can't tell if that was a sarcastic question or not It's not a sarcastic question. I'm with you about the lack of OBP. But it sounds like you're in favor of "manufacturing runs" instead of "Weaver-ball." Players with high OBP are usually also players who hit a lot of homeruns. It sounds to me like you want to have high OBP without relying on homeruns. That would be hard to do. Players in the top 40 in OBP last year with fewer than 15 homers: Luis Castillo, Placido Polanco, Sean Casey, Joe Mauer, and Bill Mueller. I really don't know how we could field a high-OBP team that "manufactured runs" without relying on power. Power = Pitches out of the Strike Zone = More Walks = Less Outs/More Baserunners = More runs Basically a proven formula. [sarcasm] But I thought walks were bad? [/sarcasm]

    Why would it matteR? (where's my prozac.) I guess it wouldn't because the Marlins have a lefty pitching so at most we'll get 3 hits tonight. But I want to see an improvement nonetheless.

    Oh please no. I think Joe Morgan would be worse than Baker. Although then we wouldn't have to hear him announcing games anymore and Jon Miller could get a competant partner.

    I hope we see a significant improvement out of Wood tomorrow.

    The only thing that could be worse is if the Giants joined the Cards and White Sox as one of the top teams in the league. The LAST thing I want is for Bonds to get a World Series title.

    It's obvious how Dusty configured his lineup. He had to alternate lefties and righties because he probably thinks it's the key to winning games. I may be missing something but I actually like this lineup tonight. I don't really mind the lineup either. I was just trying to use Dusty-logic.

    I think everybody agrees that Bonds would have been a surefire first ballot HOFer without steroids. Heck, even if you cut off his career after 1998 - before he started taking steroids - he would most likely have been a HOFer anyway.

    The mentioned it on PTI also and Wilbon said something along the lines of "the Cubs stink and what has Baker done to deserve an extention...nothing."

    Pierzynski just said that his Zambrano imitation was because he had some family problems this weekend and he promised somebody he would point to the sky for them. As for the family problems, anyone think his wife found out about his philandering on the road?

    You have got to be kidding me. I wouldn't mind if we were actually winning but this makes no sense during a losing streak.
