Zito is not worth the money he's going to command in the offseason. I would stay away from him at all costs. Well cubs are going to need to sign a FA pitcher this off-season. Who would you want instead? ANother guy I would like the cubs to look at is Kelvim Escabor, but that being said Zito is the best pitcher on the market and he is a former CY young winner so your probably right in the fact he will command alot of $$$$$$$$ And that's the point. I'm going to change my statement from above. If we can get him at a decent price, i.e. under $10 mil a year, then go for it. But he's going to flash that Cy Young award around all winter and will get at least $10 mil. If the Yankees get interested he'll get $12-13.
