  1. Why did Jones have to run for a TD? Doesn't he know he's supposed to suck?
  2. It's hilarious hearing the "Moose" chants in St. Louis.
  3. The most carries Benson has had in a game this year is 14 and that was in a blowout against Buffalo. Jones has had just two games with less than 14 carries this year and only 3 with less than 20 carries. Benson may or may not be better and I obviously haven't watched him as much as most Bears fans probably have but it's the number of carries is what jumps out at me. They just haven't given Benson a shot to get a majority of the carries to see if he can carry the load.
  4. What is UC Davis's OC like? I don't know if we should be talking about this in this thread. :D He's pretty good. We usually have a very good offense. Running backs have been hit or miss for the past few years (and we've had injuries there as well - at one point last year we were starting our fourth string RB) which has made our offense a bit one dimensional at times. The offense in general isn't usually a problem. Next year should be interesting because we're losing our three year starter at QB as well as our top wide WR who is one of the best we've ever had.
  5. No, No, not gonna go that far. Just wanted to make you guys feel a bit better about your offensive coordinator. They both are bad man. From a non Bears fan view, isn't is so obvious how much better Benson is? It's not that one is necessarily better than the other, because I would say that at the very least they're very similar, but what I don't understand What I don't understand is why Jones gets so much more playing time and more carries (247-98) than Benson does. Obviously it's hard to get each the same # of carries week in and week out but one shouldn't have 2.5 times as many carries as the other. I don't think Benson has had the opportunity to prove himself as a featured back yet.

  7. Bears fans, I'll make you a deal. We'll take Ron Turner from you and you can have John Shoop in return.
  8. Well then I expect you to call out anybody who makes any sort of comment about a team other than the Rams and Bears. Drop it. Now. Heed your own advice. Two mods have asked you to drop it. You're about to take a timeout if you don't. I did. I haven't discussed it anymore. I went on to discussing the game, i.e. what the thread is about.
  9. Of course they don't rule it the way you do Theisman. You're an idiot. It doesn't matter how his arm was going forward. It doesn't matter if Grossman made it go forward or if a defender did. Fact is the ball was in his hand when his arm was going forward. That's an incomplete pass. And another point, how do you know at what point the defender made his arm go forward anyway. You can't determine that. Idiot Theisman.
  10. This should be ruled an incomplete pass.

  12. Well then I expect you to call out anybody who makes any sort of comment about a team other than the Rams and Bears. If you have a problem with the way I'm moderating, take it up with Tim and 1908. Saying that discussion in this thread should be strictly limited to just the Bears and the Rams is stupid. I understand the point but if you're going to call out OleMiss for making a couple Saints comments then I expect you to do the same thing to anybody who makes any sort of comment about any other team except for the Bears and Rams. Otherwise you hold a double standard.

  14. be worried: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v138/HulkamaniacUM/0AC95C0C-61A2-48D5-84EA-136F6161CD6F.jpg :-) Would you please shut the hell up about the Saints in a Bears gamethread? Don't get your panties in a bunch. My panties aren't in a bunch but thanks for worrying. If this was a Cubs gamethread and a Cards fans was saying that crap it would be considered trolling. Nice throw REXY! Not necessarily.

Don't get your panties in a bunch. ehhhh, i wasn't going to say anything but it is pretty annoying It's not a big deal.

  17. Hooray for conspiracy theories.
  18. What are the status' of those three players (i.e. how long are they out)?
  19. If the Bears continue to play like this the media will annoint the Saints as the best team in the NFC for the next week.
  20. Bulger is picking apart this Bears defense.
  21. Hester is very good at returning kicks.
  22. The most obvious play call in that situation. Sheesh. Handoff to a guy lining up at fullback is the most obvious play call? Not really.
  23. Great play on 4th and 1 by St. Louis. Great play.
